Democrats have long fancied themselves vanguards of the counterculture. This facade has only grown more farcical as their leaders — Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders — fade into lumpish senility in the public eye. 

And much to the Democrats’ chagrin, young people have taken notice.
