New Task Force Set To Expose Government Secrets [WATCH]

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has been appointed to lead the House Oversight Task Force on Declassification of Federal Secrets, a new effort aimed at bringing long-hidden government files into the light.

The task force, backed by Speaker Mike Johnson and House Oversight Chairman James Comer, will examine some of the most controversial and historically significant classified documents, including files on political assassinations, the origins of COVID-19, and unidentified aerial phenomena.

Luna highlighted the critical importance of transparency in government, emphasizing the role of declassification in restoring public trust.

“When our founding fathers stood against tyranny, they did not merely oppose taxes, they defended the sacred idea of individual sovereignty,” she said.

“They declared that no government agency or title could infringe upon the freedoms of speech, religion, thought and the pursuit of truth.”

The congresswoman underscored the significance of former President Donald Trump’s recent commitment to declassify key historical files, calling it “not just monumental, but pivotal.”

She explained, “A few weeks ago, President Donald Trump made a historic announcement. With the stroke of a pen, he committed to declassifying the files concerning the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”

The newly formed task force will have broad investigative authority, collaborating with the White House, intelligence agencies, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Justice. According to Luna, the areas of focus will include:

• The assassinations of JFK, RFK, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
• Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) and Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs)
• The Epstein client list
• The origins of COVID-19
• The 9/11 files

“For too long, the American spirit has been dimmed by a veil of secrecy, by a government that has grown too comfortable in the shadows, denying us the transparency we deserve,” Luna stated.

“But today, we stand at the dawn of a new era where the light of truth begins to shine through.”
