Rap artist Nicki Minaj publicly condemned former CNN anchor Don Lemon after he livestreamed and commented during an anti-ICE protest that disrupted a church service in Minnesota, an incident now drawing potential federal scrutiny, as reported by the Gateway Pundit.
The confrontation stems from events on Sunday at Cities Church, where activists interrupted a worship service while Lemon broadcasted live from the scene.
The church is located in St. Paul. Lemon’s livestream showed protesters entering the service, and video from his own team captured him discussing what he described as a “secret operation” prior to the disruption.
In footage circulated online, Lemon acknowledged that the activists had obtained the church’s address and told his staff not to disclose the location.
“We’re not going to give any of the information away,” Lemon said in one clip. In another, he added, “We don’t know what’s happening. We kind of do, but we don’t know how it’s going to play out, right?”
Minaj, who has more than 25 million followers on X and has publicly expressed support for President Donald Trump, reacted forcefully.

He also suggested that she should be deported under President Trump’s immigration rules. Minaj was born in Trinidad but is a legal U.S. citizen.
The incident has attracted attention from federal authorities.
President Trump’s Department of Justice has announced that Lemon could face potential charges under the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, a Reconstruction-era law designed to protect civil and religious rights from interference and intimidation.
On Monday, attorney Harmeet Dhillon discussed the legal implications during an appearance on The Benny Show. “The Klan Act is one of the most important federal civil rights statutes,” Dhillon said.
“It makes it illegal to terrorize and violate the civil rights of citizens. Whenever people conspire to do this, the Klan Act can be used.”
Dhillon warned that disruptions of religious services could bring severe consequences, drawing comparisons to how the federal government has enforced the FACE Act against protesters outside abortion clinics.
“Everyone in the protest community needs to know that the fullest force of the federal government is going to come down and prevent this from happening and put people away for a long time,” she said.

The Justice Department has not yet announced whether formal charges will be filed, but officials have indicated the matter remains under review as the fallout from the Minnesota church protest continues.
