Northern ‘Virginia Dad’ Accused of Beating Infant to Death is a Criminal Illegal Alien [WATCH]

Authorities in Fairfax County, Virginia, have charged a 28-year-old man in connection with the death of his three-month-old daughter after investigators determined the infant died from blunt-force trauma.

Police responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at a residence in the 3400 block of Lake Street in Bailey’s Crossroads around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

According to officials, when officers arrived at the home, the infant was not breathing, and emergency measures were immediately initiated.

First responders began administering CPR at the scene.

Fire and rescue personnel arrived shortly afterward and continued medical efforts before transporting the child to a nearby hospital.

Despite those efforts, the infant was pronounced dead after arrival.

During the course of the investigation, authorities said both police and hospital staff observed signs of abuse.

Investigators subsequently took the child’s father, identified as Misael Lopez Gomez, into custody.

Lopez Gomez has been charged with second-degree murder and felony child abuse.

He is currently being held without bond, according to officials.

Authorities said Lopez Gomez admitted to illegally crossing the United States’ southern border in July 2023 near Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Earlier in March, 41-year-old Stephanie Minter was killed at a bus stop in a stabbing incident.

In a separate case reported days later, a man was also fatally stabbed.

The Fairfax County investigation into the infant’s death remains ongoing, with authorities continuing to examine the circumstances leading up to the fatal injuries.
