NYC Crowd Turns on Nancy Pelosi During Book Tour Stop, Heckling Ensues [WATCH]

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) faced a disruption from pro-Palestinian protesters during a stop on her book tour in New York City.

Addressing the interruption, Pelosi attempted to remain composed, telling the crowd, “Don’t worry about that. I’m from San Francisco. I’m used to this. They’ll get what they want because all the press will say that I got interrupted.”

The heckling, which largely reflected anger over Pelosi’s support of Israel, involved multiple individuals in the audience.

While the exact words of most protesters were drowned out by the noise, some voices could be heard briefly.

“Nancy, I’m glad you disagreed with the Iraqi war, but you do not disagree…,” one protester said before being overpowered by the noise.

Another shouted, “There’s children dying in Gaza,” according to Newsweek.

As the disruptions continued, Couric, visibly uncomfortable, paused the discussion to allow event staff to handle the situation. “I’ll wait a second to continue,” she said with a smile, shielding her eyes from the stage lights as the protesters were escorted out.
