Early Sunday morning, chaos erupted in Queens when a group of individuals vandalized three police vehicles during a wild car meet-up.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. along Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park, a commercial area, as law enforcement responded to a disturbance.

The vandals, described as “rowdy” by law enforcement sources, surrounded and attacked the police cars, causing significant damage.

Footage from the scene shows multiple individuals slapping and leaning against an unmarked police car.

One person even climbed on the hood of the vehicle and smashed a traffic cone against the windshield, causing it to crack.

Other vandals joined in, jumping on the car and throwing another traffic cone at it.

The vehicle, which had its sirens blaring, eventually drove away, leaving the scene.

At least one marked NYPD cruiser also suffered damage during the skirmish, as additional footage revealed vandals throwing traffic cones at it.

According to the NYPD, all three police cars sustained dents and broken windows, but no injuries were reported.

Commissioner Jessica Tisch condemned the violence, asserting that such lawlessness would not be tolerated.

“We will not tolerate lawlessness or vandalism aimed at the police,” Tisch said on X.

We will not tolerate lawlessness or vandalism aimed at the police.

Last night in Queens, we arrested several individuals for crimes that endangered our cops and our streets.

Rest assured, we’ll be back soon for the rest of them. https://t.co/huh2S4RdYq

She also announced that “several” individuals were arrested for crimes that endangered officers and the public, vowing that law enforcement would return to apprehend others involved.

The arrests took place around 3:45 a.m. in the Bronx, where three individuals were taken into custody.

Authorities identified one of the suspects as Jordi Montesquieu, 23, from Massachusetts. Montesquieu faces several charges, including third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree unlawful fleeing a police car, and obstructing governmental administration.

Tyler Newman, 18, from New Hampshire, was charged with obstructing governmental administration, while Tristian Nandram, 18, of Queens, faces charges of third-degree criminal mischief, obstructing governmental administration, possession of stolen property, and petty larceny.

Nandram is accused of stealing a bag containing paperwork from the back of one of the police cars.

Authorities are still searching for additional individuals involved in the vandalism and reckless driving that occurred during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The NYPD has released images of several suspects, many of whom were seen wearing masks and neon-colored vests.

In response to the incident, Curtis Sliwa, the GOP candidate for mayor, blamed progressive policies for fostering an environment that allows such lawlessness.

“Our officers are the best in the world, but we must let them do their jobs without fear, hesitation, or political interference,” Sliwa stated on X.

He added, “We must restore law and order—and a Sliwa Administration will bring back the New York we know and love.”

It started when NYPD officers were doused with water in broad daylight—and told not to respond. No consequences. That moment marked the start of lawlessness in New York City.

The NYPD has vowed to continue their efforts to track down all those responsible for the destruction of police property and the endangerment of officers and civilians.

The department’s commitment to restoring order in the city remains firm as the investigation continues.
