Four employees of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be terminated on Tuesday after authorizing a $59 million payment to New York City for housing and caring for illegal migrants, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The decision comes after the unauthorized transaction was flagged within the agency, leading to immediate action by DHS leadership.
Don’t ever forget that FEMA kicked ENTIRE FAMILIES out of their hotels and into the ice and snow in Western North Carolina…

Dennis Quaid’s #1 Warning for Americans
“Four employees are being fired today for circumventing leadership and unilaterally making the egregious payment for hotels for migrants in New York City,” DHS officials told Fox News in a statement.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), spearheaded by Elon Musk, highlighted the misuse of federal disaster relief funds on Monday.
The $59 million allocated to migrant housing in New York City drew sharp criticism, with Musk calling attention to the situation on X.
“That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high-end hotels for illegals,” Musk posted.
He also confirmed that the administration would seek to recover the funds, stating, “A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds.”
The @DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants.
Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order.

FEMA, an agency responsible for disaster response and recovery, has been under increasing pressure for its handling of migrant-related expenses.
The diversion of emergency funds to cover migrant housing in cities like New York has drawn criticism from both lawmakers and government officials.
The unauthorized payment is the latest example of how resources meant for American disaster victims have been redirected to address the ongoing illegal immigration crisis.
The firing of the four FEMA employees comes as President Donald Trump’s administration continues efforts to eliminate government waste and ensure taxpayer dollars are used for their intended purposes.

Following Musk’s statement, DHS is expected to formally demand the return of the $59 million. The clawback process aims to recover the funds and redirect them to actual disaster relief efforts.
While it remains unclear how soon the funds can be recovered, the firings indicate a zero-tolerance approach to unauthorized spending.
With the Biden-era policies on migrant spending under review, the administration’s stance on protecting taxpayer dollars appears to be taking center stage.
