Randi Weingarten is not THE reason why American public schools are failing.
She’s just one of many.
Weingarten leads one of the two large teachers’ unions in the country, and ironically, it is the smaller of the two. The American Federation of Teachers, though, punches well above its weight politically and culturally because Weingarten is very good at what she does, and what she does is make lives for Americans, and in particular America’s children, much worse.

You may recall Weingarten’s decisive role in shaping school COVID policies under Biden. CDC Director Walensky had her on speed dial, and the AFT decided when children could be readmitted to in-person learning. And she didn’t agree to allow it until the Biden administration dumped tens of billions of dollars into schools–something they were, of course, happy to do.

The invasion of alphabet ideology into curricula–that’s Randi. Or at least she has been a key advocate along with every education degree program. It’s personal for Randi because she is a lesbian–although any sane lesbian would be leery of transgenderism– but she is of the Queer agenda variety.
And now? She is partnering with the World Economic Forum to develop the new curriculum in America’s schools. Oh, Joy.
Randi’s convention speech didn’t stop at globalist curricula. She called on her members to “fight like hell” & take to the streets to unseat lawmakers who dare oppose her agenda.

I’m not sure how you could make American public schools’ curriculum any more damaging, but surely they will find a way. The World Economic Forum always finds a way, and the American Teachers Federation finds a way; together, they will be double trouble.
In a speech that could have been ripped from the pages of a dystopian novel, she announced a partnership with the globalist World Economic Forum to craft a new curriculum for America’s schools.
If you thought Common Core’s centralized, one-size-fits-all approach was a bad idea, Weingarten’s latest move is the educational equivalent of saying, “Hold my beer.”
The WEF, known for its unsettling vision of a future where “you’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy,” is now being invited to shape the minds of America’s children.
This is the same organization that cozies up to the Chinese Communist Party, promotes digital IDs and pushes foolish, industry-killing green energy schemes.
The left agenda has been–explicitly–to destroy the American system of government, and their tactic for the past 50 years has been taking over key cultural institutions such as the public schools and the universities. In that, they have been successful, and partnering with the WEF is just the next step in this plan.
That sounds conspiratorial because it is. But it is a conspiracy that is mostly there to see if you look at education schools and the academic literature. It’s not really hidden except by the repetition that colleges, universities, and public schools are promoting justice and making America a better place. American parents, who have a nostalgia for how schools used to be, have a hard time wrapping their heads around the idea that the current education system is dedicated to upending American society.
It sounds insane, but it is true.
Partnering with an entity that holds up authoritarian regimes as models is a five-alarm fire.
And considering the WEF’s track record of championing policies that undermine industrial competitiveness, Weingarten’s claim that the coming curriculum will lead to “good jobs and solid careers in US manufacturing” is laughable.
This move fits Weingarten’s pattern: She has a craving for centralized power, and her union’s history shows a knack for leveraging authority to bend institutions to its will.
As The New York Post revealed, it was Weingarten who strong-armed the Biden administration into keeping schools shuttered during the COVID era.
By holding children’s education hostage, the union secured billions in ransom payments from taxpayers — as closed schools became bargaining chips, used to extort more money and benefits during contract negotiations.
Teachers unions are an abomination. They always were–the idea is that students can be held hostage to the demands of teachers–but now they are not a danger only to the financial viability of our school system, but to America itself.
FDR understood that public employees unions are fundamentally destructive–they set public servants in opposition to citizens–and he was right.
They must be abolished. If that means blowing up the public schools and building a parallel system built on universal school choice and the phasing out of the current system, so be it.
