Olivia Dunne, the national champion gymnast from Louisiana State University, made headlines over the weekend after delivering a gymnastics move at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Fashion Show.
Dunne, who recently concluded her collegiate gymnastics career at LSU, appeared on the runway wearing a black and white polka dot bathing suit, accented with red bows on the front and near the hips.
As she reached the end of the runway, Dunne dropped into a full split, drawing cheers and applause from the audience in attendance.

During her walk back, she touched hips with musician and fellow model Xandra Pohl.
In a separate segment of the show, Dunne wore a different outfit—a bikini paired with a cropped shirt that read, “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.”
Dunne was named one of Sports Illustrated’s 2025 Swimsuit Issue cover models last month, marking a new chapter as she transitions from college athletics to broader public appearances and endorsements.
She appeared on the cover alongside three others: Lauren Chan, Salma Hayek, and Jordan Chiles.
Her rise to prominence began during her time at LSU, where she became one of the most-followed athletes on social media.
Dunne has accumulated more than 8 million followers on TikTok and an additional 5.3 million followers on Instagram.
Her widespread popularity played a significant role in raising the visibility of collegiate women’s gymnastics.
Dunne was part of the LSU Tigers team that won the national championship in 2024.
However, she was limited in competition during her final year due to an injury.
Despite being sidelined, she remained active in public appearances and continued to support her team.
Since concluding her gymnastics career, Dunne has been seen attending professional baseball games to support her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes. Skenes, also a former LSU athlete, has quickly emerged as a rising talent in Major League Baseball.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit event is one of the magazine’s most high-profile showcases, drawing a wide audience and featuring athletes, entertainers, and public figures from across the industry.
Dunne’s performance added a sports flair to the show, bridging her background in athletics with her growing presence in modeling and entertainment.
Her appearance comes at a time when brands continue to seek athletes with strong personal followings, particularly those who appeal to younger audiences on social media platforms.
Dunne’s blend of athletic achievement and digital influence has positioned her as a leading figure in the current generation of athlete-celebrities.
