The post came just weeks after Bloom and Perry confirmed their breakup.

Bloom and Perry had been engaged for several years before confirming their split last month. The actor’s humorous online engagement with the Onion post comes amid heightened speculation over Perry’s rumored new relationship with Trudeau.

Reports began circulating earlier this week after Perry, 40, and Trudeau, 53, were seen dining together at a restaurant in Montreal.

The pair was later photographed walking Trudeau’s dog, “Nugget,” during a stroll that lasted roughly an hour. No physical displays of affection were reported during the outing.

Further fueling the speculation, Trudeau attended Perry’s “Lifetimes” tour performance at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Wednesday. A source told People magazine on Saturday that Perry and Trudeau felt an “instant connection” and “have a lot in common.”

The source added, “Music is one of many things they can share. Both are idealists and still live in a world where they think they can make improvements, although it has gotten more difficult.”

While no official confirmation has been made by either Perry or Trudeau, the appearance of the two together has generated significant attention online.
