Attorney General Pam Bondi is facing criticism from within conservative media circles following the release of a new Department of Justice memo on Jeffrey Epstein, with SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly predicting on Tuesday that Bondi’s position in the Trump administration may soon come to an end.
During an episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly responded to ongoing backlash related to the Department of Justice and FBI’s recent two-page memo, which concluded that Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and contained no mention of a “client list.”
The memo, reported Sunday by Axios, reignited controversy around the long-standing questions involving Epstein’s associates and the handling of documents related to his case.

In a discussion with a guest about the administration’s handling of the report, Kelly criticized Bondi’s media strategy and interactions with conservative figures.
“Just look at the influencer thing. Just take a step back,” Kelly said.
“What kind of an attorney general would pretend she’s giving new information to some of the president’s most loyal advocates in the press? You know, buying ink by the barrel.”
Kelly questioned whether Bondi knowingly misled conservative media personalities or failed to verify the documents beforehand.

“So either Pam Bondi knew she was about to embarrass some of his most loyal surrogates out there, and did that willingly, or she didn’t take the time to make sure what was in those binders. She was too lazy to actually figure out none of this is new,” Kelly said.
Kelly continued, “And yet she called a meeting with the influencers that included Kash Patel, the head of the FBI, and the sitting vice president. So she’s either lazy and incompetent or she willingly humiliated some of the president’s most loyal supporters. Neither one of those is good. And that’s why, I’m sorry, but I’m going to predict her days are numbered as a member of the Trump administration.”
Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking, was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell a little over a month after his arrest.
His death was ruled a suicide by New York City’s medical examiner, though Epstein’s brother Mark and others have challenged that conclusion.
“Jeffrey knew a lot of stuff about a lot of people,” Mark Epstein told the Miami Herald in 2019.
In 2021, Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested and later sentenced in 2022 to 20 years in prison for her role in Epstein’s trafficking network. No other individuals have been criminally charged in connection to Epstein’s operation.
Despite promises of transparency, Epstein’s files have not been fully released to the public.
The absence of disclosure, particularly regarding flight logs and alleged associates, has fueled speculation, especially in light of Epstein’s known ties to numerous high-profile individuals.
During his 2024 presidential campaign, President Donald Trump pledged to release all Epstein-related documents, as well as remaining classified records related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
In February, the administration released a portion of the Epstein documents to conservative influencers. Many of those who received the material criticized it for lacking any substantial revelations or mention of a so-called “client list.”
In March, Bondi addressed the backlash during an appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity. She claimed that thousands of Epstein-related documents had not been turned over by the FBI and assured that further releases would occur following redactions and explanations.
“You’re looking at these documents going, ‘These aren’t all the Epstein files.’ There were flight logs. There were names, victims’ names, and we’re going ‘Where’s the rest of the stuff?’ That’s what the FBI had turned over to us,” Bondi said.
“So a source said ‘Whoa, all this evidence is sitting in the Southern District of New York.’ So based on that, I gave them the deadline, Friday at 8, a truckload of evidence arrived.”
Legal and public scrutiny over Epstein’s case remains active, and pressure continues to mount on federal agencies to provide full transparency.
