Jan. 6 protester Jared L. Wise is having quite the reversal in fortune. Under former President Joe Biden’s administration, Wise was charged and prosecuted for his involvement at the U.S. Capitol building on January 6, 2021. President Donald Trump not only pardoned Wise — but paved the way to a new, high-profile job. It couldn’t be a more fitting position, either. Cue the spittle from the legacy media.
Wise, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent, was indicted on six criminal charges in March 2023. He returns to the halls of justice not as a defendant, but as an adviser to one of the top attorneys in the nation. It’s a Cinderella story which would’ve been unthinkable just two years ago, when Wise and Trump alike were facing what, by all appearances, were campaigns of lawfare.
