Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes faced break-ins at their Kansas City-area homes in early October, according to law enforcement reports.
The properties of both the tight end and quarterback were targeted within hours of each other, sparking an FBI investigation into a possible organized crime link.
The first incident occurred around midnight on October 6, when an intruder reportedly entered Mahomes’ mansion in Belton, Missouri.

TMZ Sports reported that local police responded to the scene, but it remains unclear if any valuables were stolen from Mahomes’ residence.
Hours later, on October 7, Kelce’s six-million-dollar home in Leawood, Kansas, was also broken into, with reports indicating a loss of $20,000 in cash and visible damage to the back door.
Both properties, located in affluent Kansas City suburbs, were empty at the time of the burglaries, with the Chiefs playing the New Orleans Saints on the day of the incidents.
That Sunday, Kelce and Mahomes helped Kansas City secure a 26-13 win over the Saints at Arrowhead Stadium. Notably, Taylor Swift, Kelce’s high-profile girlfriend, was present at the game, lending attention to the team’s undefeated season.
According to TMZ, the break-in at Kelce’s residence was reported to authorities on October 8, a day after the Chiefs’ victory.
While the Chiefs’ organization has not publicly addressed the break-ins, reports suggest the FBI’s involvement points to a possible cross-state crime network rather than a localized burglary spree.
FBI agents are working with local law enforcement to investigate if the incidents could be connected to a larger ring of organized crime.

Kelce’s property in Leawood, a sprawling 17,000-square-foot estate, is noted for its privacy.
The luxurious residence includes six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a Beverly Hills-style swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and a six-car garage.
Outside, the property features a tennis and pickleball court, a miniature golf course, and extensive wooded grounds spanning over three acres.
The spacious grounds include winding paths, a gazebo, and multiple lounging areas around the pool, designed for seclusion and comfort.
The estate was acquired shortly after Kelce’s relationship with Swift went public last year, as Kelce sought a more private setting following an increase in fan attention at his former home in Kansas City’s Briarcliff West area.
Swift reportedly joined Kelce at the Leawood home, with the two spending time at the gated community property, situated about 20 minutes from Arrowhead Stadium.
Mahomes, the Chiefs’ quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion, moved into his Belton mansion with his wife, Brittany, back in 2020.
The property, designed to cater to Mahomes’ athletic lifestyle, includes a private practice football field and a golf hole.
The FBI’s continued investigation suggests that the break-ins could be part of a broader crime pattern potentially crossing state borders.
Law enforcement is reviewing evidence from both properties and assessing any similarities in the break-ins, with no additional details provided on suspects or leads at this time.
Both Mahomes and Kelce remain focused on the season despite the incidents, with the Chiefs holding onto their strong start.
The recent break-ins add a serious note to the off-field lives of the NFL stars, as authorities work to determine whether these prominent figures were targeted in an organized effort or if the burglaries were isolated cases.
