Planned Parenthood Just Deleted All of Its Instagram Posts

This seems a bit odd and many people have noticed. Sometime today Planned Parenthood deleted every post on their Instagram account, which has 1 million followers.

Some are wondering if their account was hacked.

Was this prompted by DOGE in some way?

Why would Planned Parenthood delete every post on their Instagram account I wonder. I wonder what they are trying to hide something from DOGE. I love to be the bearer of bad news but nothing is ever completely gone, and the DOGE gang will have no trouble digging the posts up.

And this is the point where normally I’d attempt to shed some light on what happened here except I don’t know. I checked their X account and their Bluesky account and neither one mentions this or offers any explanation for it.

As for the possibility this was a hack, I guess it’s possible but “this is now a condom stan account” sounds like something they would put on social media. Also, if someone wanted to wipe the account after gaining access, couldn’t they just have shut it down completely? But the account isn’t gone just the posts. So for the moment I’m skeptical this was a hack. But something must be up because other PP related Instagram accounts still have posts on them. It’s just the main account that has been cleared out.

Could this be a preemptive action intended to avoid Trump administration scrutiny? That seems possible too but I guess I’m not seeing the connection yet. Was USAID sending them money? Where exactly would DOGE and PP intersect? We’ll need some additional information before we can conclude this is about funding cuts or avoiding scrutiny.

It’s also possible they did this just to clear the decks for a new social media strategy. This will make whatever they say next seem more striking. Maybe there’s nothing more to it than that?
