Prince William’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ Line Tested After Sarah Ferguson Emails Linked to Epstein Emerge

Prince William’s reported refusal to tolerate any royal ties to convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein is being tested again following the release of newly disclosed emails involving Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, according to royal experts reacting to the latest documents made public by the U.S. Department of Justice, as reported by Fox News.

The DOJ recently released more than 3 million records connected to Epstein, including personal emails.

Inclusion in the files does not necessarily imply wrongdoing. Among the newly surfaced material is a March 2010 email exchange in which Ferguson allegedly made a crude comment about her then-19-year-old daughter, Princess Eugenie, while corresponding with Epstein about a potential trip to New York.

The way Sarah Ferguson was excused – and allowed to make masses of cash off her Royal title – time and time again after despicable behaviour will haunt UK Royalty for years to come. The revelations in this story are horrific: https://t.co/mkVOnt2Px3

In the email, Epstein asked Ferguson about travel plans. Ferguson replied, “Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!!”

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that the email is likely to have serious consequences for Ferguson’s standing with senior royals.

“This new revelation most certainly seals the end of any likelihood of any royal acceptance of either Sarah or Andrew,” Fordwich said, adding that Prince William is “beyond disgusted.”

“They are totally unfit for any royal proximity. Now, Sarah can’t ever claim she was naïve, detached, or unaware of reputational risk; it totally sinks her.”

Fordwich also pointed to another DOJ-released email from 2009 in which Ferguson allegedly discussed arranging a lunch with Epstein in Miami.

“What address shall we come to. It will be myself, Beatrice, and Eugenie,” Ferguson wrote, according to the document.

“What is really revolting about this new crude email revelation is how shockingly intimate Sarah’s familiarity with Epstein is,” Fordwich said.

“It’s further concrete evidence that she was close enough to Epstein to share such lurid details regarding her own underage daughter in such a flippant, even jocular manner.”

Fox News Digital reached out to a representative for Sarah Ferguson for comment.

Fordwich argued that Ferguson’s financial struggles played a role in her continued association with Epstein after his 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

“Sarah was in debt due to her prolific spending, being greedy, and, with dreadfully poor judgment, she turned to Epstein’s wealth for bailouts,” Fordwich said.

“To have planned lunches with her daughters with such a man after he was jailed for sex crimes is beyond ghastly.”

According to the Daily Mail, Ferguson contacted Epstein again in 2011 after publicly denouncing their friendship in an interview with the Evening Standard.

During that interview, Ferguson expressed “deep regret” and pledged to “have nothing ever to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again.”

In an alleged email sent after the interview, Ferguson reportedly referred to Epstein as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend.”

In a statement to The Guardian, a representative for Ferguson said she stood by her public condemnation of Epstein, stating that the email was sent in the context of legal advice meant to defuse Epstein’s threats of a defamation lawsuit.

Royal commentator Helena Chard said the reaction has been severe.

“However, the majority public are more than disappointed, they are appalled and surprised by her alleged disreputable behavior,” Chard told Fox News Digital.

Royal analyst Meredith Constant said the revelations could further distance Princess Eugenie from her father, Prince Andrew, noting her work with anti-slavery causes.

The renewed scrutiny comes as controversy surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Ferguson again places the British royal family under an uncomfortable spotlight, with Epstein’s connections continuing to emerge.

“They seem to have been extremely close to Epstein, and there is more, according to biographer Andrew Lownie, much more, yet to come,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said.
