Anti-ICE protesters flooded the Minnesota State Capitol on Tuesday, gathering outside Gov. Tim Walz’s office and chanting demands to remove Immigration and Customs Enforcement from the state following recent fatal encounters involving federal agents in Minneapolis, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
The demonstration came one day after President Trump confirmed he had spoken with Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and said state and local leaders had agreed to cooperate with his administration’s efforts to deport criminal illegal aliens in Minneapolis.
Video from the Capitol shows demonstrators chanting, “What do we want? ICE Out! When do we want it? Now!”, “Say her name! Renee Good!”, and “Do your job!”

Protesters also carried signs reading “ICE Out Now,” “ICE Out of Minnesota,” “Justice Not Gestures,” “Justice for Renee Good,” and “Justice for Alex Pretti.”
According to Fox News, approximately 200 agitators gathered outside Walz’s office inside the Capitol building on Tuesday afternoon.
Protest organizers said ahead of time that they planned to slowly march toward the governor’s doors, describing the action as peaceful.
During the demonstration, protesters also shouted, “Whose house is this… our house,” “What do we want? Charges. When do we want it? Now,” and “No one is illegal… power to the people.”

The protest followed heightened tensions in Minnesota after two recent fatal encounters involving federal immigration agents. Renee Good was shot after attempting to run an ICE agent over with her car.
Alex Pretti was killed after attempting to interfere with agents while carrying a loaded handgun and two fully loaded magazines, according to reporting referenced during the demonstration.
Activists have used the deaths to demand accountability and changes to immigration enforcement policies, while continuing to call for ICE’s removal from Minnesota.
As previously reported, President Trump announced Monday that Border Czar Tom Homan would travel to Minnesota and take over ICE operations amid escalating protests and confrontations.
Homan met with Gov. Walz and Mayor Frey on Tuesday as part of those efforts.
Trump said earlier this week that his discussions with Walz and Frey resulted in an agreement to work with the administration on deporting criminal illegal aliens in Minneapolis.
The announcement sparked immediate backlash from activists and anti-ICE groups, culminating in Tuesday’s Capitol protest.
The Minnesota Governor’s Office has not released a public statement responding directly to the demonstration. Law enforcement maintained a presence inside the Capitol as protesters gathered, and no injuries or arrests were reported during the demonstration.
The situation in Minnesota continues to draw national attention as federal authorities push forward with enforcement operations while local officials face mounting pressure from activists opposed to ICE’s presence in the state.
