Radical Dem. Rep. Jasmine Crockett Calls for Assault on Ted Cruz After Bondi Warned Her [WATCH]

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is drawing criticism after making statements in recent days that have been interpreted as calls for targeted harassment and possible violence toward prominent Republicans, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

The controversy began during a livestream event hosted last Wednesday by the activist group #TeslaTakedown.

The group, which advocates for economic pressure against Tesla, has organized protests at showrooms, encouraged shareholders to divest, and planned demonstrations at hundreds of Tesla locations.

The group is preparing for its largest action yet on March 29, with coordinated protests at 277 Tesla sites in the United States and more than 500 internationally.

During the livestream, Crockett expressed enthusiasm for the protest campaign, which coincides with her birthday.

“I am truly here for very selfish reasons,” Crockett said. “Starting with March 29, it’s my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down! Yes!”

The remarks were followed by further comments during a Sunday interview with NBC 5’s Phil Prazan and Gromer Jeffers of the Dallas Morning News.

The interview covered a range of topics, including the policies of the Trump administration and strategies for Democrats to gain ground in Texas elections.

When asked about how Democrats could win statewide races, Crockett said, “I think that you punch; I think you okay with punching,” adding, “You know…I love Colin (Allred), and I think toward the end he started punching a little harder.”

She continued, “But, like, it’s Ted Cruz! I mean, this dude needs to be knocked over the head, hard! There’s no niceties with him…You go clean off of him!”

The comments drew immediate attention, prompting concerns about the rhetoric used by elected officials and its potential consequences.

Attorney General of the United States Pam Bondi addressed Crockett’s initial comments targeting Elon Musk during an appearance on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

Bondi said Crockett should reconsider her language, warning that such statements could cross legal and ethical boundaries.

“You have this Congresswoman Crockett who is calling for attacks on Elon Musk on her birthday,” Bondi said.

“‘Let’s take him out on my birthday,’ she says. Yet she turns around and says, ‘Oh, I’m not calling for violence.’”

Bondi added, “Well, she is an elected public official, and she needs to tread very carefully—because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we’re going to fight to protect all of the Tesla owners throughout this country. And it’s just basic safety.”

Crockett has not issued a formal clarification or retraction of her remarks.

Her comments come amid heightened national concerns over political violence and threats directed at public officials and high-profile figures.

As of Monday, there has been no formal action taken against Crockett, but questions remain about whether her rhetoric violates House rules or federal law.
