“I couldn’t have picked better,” Paul declared when asked about Trump’s team. He continued, “The vast majority I will support on day one.”

Paul specifically named Kristi Noem for the Department of Homeland Security and Russ Vought for the Office of Management and Budget, emphasizing that at least half a dozen nominees could be approved in the first week.

Starting in January, Paul will take the reins as chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. This powerful position places him at the center of the confirmation process, a role he welcomes.
