The Republican Study Committee (RSC) released a new podcast Wednesday called “Right To The Point” to cut through the noise and deliver important policy news straight to voters.

The RSC is a congressional caucus which “exists to bring like-minded House members together to promote a strong, principled legislative agenda that will limit government, strengthen our national defense, boost America’s economy, preserve traditional values and balance our budget,” according to the group’s website.

The first episode of the podcast, hosted by RSC Chairman and Republican Texas Rep. August Pfluger, explored the GOP’s efforts to crack down on border security, legislation to combat the fentanyl crisis and recognized the need to crack down on China’s role in the crisis.

The podcast, which featured Missouri Rep. Mark Alford and Iowa Rep. Zach Nunn as guests, will serve as a new way for the RSC and the GOP at large to communicate directly with voters, much in the same vein, Pfluger told the Daily Caller, as President Trump has. “Americans have grown increasingly frustrated with biased mainstream media coverage, so it’s imperative for Republicans to fight back” Pfluger told the Caller.

He cited President Trump’s “winning strategy in 2024 of bypassing traditional media gatekeepers” as a major inspiration for the RSC to explore the new medium.

One piece of legislation the podcast touted was the Protecting American Energy Production Act. The bill seeks to protect fracking and codify those protections to ensure future presidents cannot undo them without congressional backing.

The trio also lauded President Trump’s recent executive order banning men from participating in women’s sports and said his presidency is a return to sanity.

“It’s getting us back to being a Norman Rockwell America instead of the Rocky Horror Picture Show we’ve been living in under President Biden,” Alford noted.

Alford, who has been selected as chair of the RSC’s Communications Task Force, lauded the group’s effort to deliver their message straight to voters.

“As the oldest and largest conservative caucus in the House, it’s time we use 21st Century communication to advocate for our commonsense agenda,” he told the Caller.

“It was an honor to be a part of the first episode of Right to the Point. I also applaud Chairman Pfluger for his leadership in working to build a conservative governing coalition,” Alford concluded.

The episodes will release three to four times a month, the Committee told the Caller.
