ROOKE: If Someone’s In Trump’s Ear With Latest Idiotic Ideas, They Need To Be Kicked Out Of White House

There are days when our nation feels like it’s on the right track, and then others when it feels like we are so far from where we should be that it feels a little hopeless.

President Donald Trump’s recent sit-down interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham seemed like one bad idea after another, and MAGA voters are increasingly wondering who is telling Trump that these policies are popular and the right move. Whether it’s Trump taking up for our massively flawed higher education system’s dependence on 600,000 Chinese students a year, or him touting a 50-year mortgage scheme that will see Americans paying off their homes until their dying breath, it all seems night and day from the man who campaigned on making America for Americans again.

I love Trump. One of his biggest supporters and have been for many years. And I disagree with him on this: no need to have ChiCom spies roaming our universities and colleges and stealing intellectual property. And if the business model of some universities and colleges is based… https://t.co/zxRpSSSjOT

His supporters thought they would get millions of deported illegal immigrants and an American manufacturing job boom. Instead, they received the exact opposite. The Trump administration has barely made a dent in the illegal immigrant population. And when Trump was pressed on his H-1B visa plan, he claimed we need to import more people because the country’s citizens are not skilled or talented enough to fill American manufacturing plants. (Sign up for Mary Rooke’s weekly newsletter here!)

Ingraham: “And does that mean the H1B visa thing will not be a priority for your administration because if you want to raise wages for American workers, you can’t flood the country with 10s of thousands or 100s of thousands of foreign workers.”

Trump: “I agree, but you also do have to bring in talent.”

Ingraham: “We have plenty of talented people here.”

Trump: “No, you don’t. No, you don’t.”

Ingraham: “We don’t have talented people here?”

Trump: “No, you don’t have certain talents, and people have to learn. You can’t take people off an unemployment line and say, ‘I’m going to put you into a factory to make missiles.’”

Ingraham: “How did we ever do it before?”

It cannot be overstated how heartbreaking it is to hear Trump — with many people losing family members, friends, and jobs for supporting him for the last decade — say that America is incapable of producing talented workers.

America is the greatest country on earth. Period. There is no other country capable of rallying to a cause or creating materials and goods in a crisis than us. Many will point to periods in history, like World War II, when women left their homes and entered factories to produce critical wartime materials. But we don’t even have to go back that far to see how our manufacturing — even though it’s been beaten and bruised to the point of almost certain death — is still capable of rising to the occasion.

During the pandemic, when the entire world was shut down and countries were hoarding essential materials for their own use, our manufacturing companies modified their original purpose to produce PPE gear, respirators, and other equipment on a massive scale.

It’s in our blood to produce, grow, and adapt. There must be a level of acknowledgment that we may need a training period to complete the transition, which would require a small number of immigrant workers. But to have Trump claim as a fact that our country is not talented enough to learn these machines or processes discounts the very essence of what makes us great.

🚨 BREAKING: Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent says President Trump’s plan for visas is to TEMPORARILY bring in expert overseas workers to train Americans, they they go BACK home.

“Train the US workers. Then, go home. Then, the US workers fully take over.”

The biggest fear is that someone in Trump’s White House is instructing him on these so-called facts. If that’s the case, fire him or her immediately because they are leading the U.S. down a path of no return.

Shortly before his cold-blooded murder, Charlie Kirk laid out a simple plan to get the country on track. He spoke truth from the heart of Trump’s base.

“This is the social compact breaking down,” Kirk said, referring to a graph that shows the crisis of how few Americans in their 30s own a home and are married. “We need urgency to restore it.”

Kirk’s plan started with mass deportations. This doesn’t mean a couple of hundred thousand a year over the next four years. This means millions. He urged our government to “stop the H-1B visa scam,” which even tech executive Palmer Lucky has demonized as being a fraudulent system that promotes unskilled, cheap labor that replaces talented American workers.

Along with the H-1 B visa program, Kirk said it was time to “dramatically reduce LEGAL Immigration” and “end chain migration and the Visa Lottery.” Housing prices, grocery prices, taxpayer costs for government assistance, etc., rise when demand is higher. These products and services would be much more affordable if Americans didn’t have to compete with foreign demand.

Additionally, Kirk wanted 10 million more homes built in the country for Americans to be able to purchase. Even without immigrant housing demands, our nation still has a supply problem. Building more homes will help not only alleviate the supply crisis but also drive down prices.

And last, but certainly not least, Kirk urged our leaders to “Crush the College Cartel.” Our higher education system is fundamentally flawed. It’s unbelievable that it has to be said, but American colleges and universities should be available to American students first before anyone else gets a chance. We should only be admitting the best and brightest American students, especially if our president is confident enough to claim our country is lacking talent. How else are we going to train them if we are offering their spots to foreign students? Additionally, the fact that we ever allowed DEI to be used as a benchmark for entry in our higher education system again exposes just how broken it is. American merit should be the only measure for college acceptance.

This is the social compact breaking down. We need urgency to restore it:

2 – Stop the H-1B scam
3 – Dramatically reduce LEGAL Immigration
4 – End chain migration and the Visa Lottery

Americans need hope. As of mid-November, there is nothing that we can hold on to that indicates the administration understands why it was voted into office. (Villain From 2008 Rears Its Big, Ugly Bum)

There are, of course, moments and glimmers of something better to come, and there was a growth year during Trump’s first administration before the economic boom occurred. However, all of the “light at the end of the tunnel” is quickly snuffed out when Trump and his administration support policies antithetical to what needs to happen.

Is 2024 Trump still in the room with us? That should be the question on everyone’s mind.
