Roseanne Barr Has a Thing or Two to Say About Jimmy Kimmel

Roseanne Barr, whom you may recall ABC fired for making a joke on Twitter, has a thing or two to say about the firing of Jimmy Kimmel.

The funniest? She offered to sit in for him. What poetic justice that would be.

On the heels of @ABCNetwork canceling #JimmyKimmelLive , comedian Roseanne Barr has offered to fill in for Jimmy. Best joke ever, Roseanne, well played. For those of you who don’t remember, Rosie was fired for telling a joke that Obama didn’t like. pic.twitter.com/8QUxPpp3zi

As the entire establishment has lost its mind over the horror that ABC kicked Kimmel off the air, at least for a while, Roseanne sees more than a bit of irony. Where were they when she, or Gina Carano, was fired for their comments made off-screen on social media?

Jimmy Kimmel arguably broke FCC regulations — yes, it turns out that there is a regulation he violated — but neither Roseanne nor Carano said anything on air or at all related to their jobs.

Did any one of these free speech advocates call out Disney/ABC when they fired Roseanne Barr or Gina Carano, not for comments they made live on air representing the network they are on like Jimmy Kimmel did, but their own private Tweets? pic.twitter.com/GYOFfwswfP

As Democrats cry about threats to democracy and free speech–the latter is rich, given their many years promoting censorship–they are ignoring that the FCC specifically prohibits doing exactly what Jimmy Kimmel did.

Hey Chris, I know you’re not big on knowing what you’re talking about, but we have this thing called the FCC and they have these things called regulations that you should probably read up on before reacting like an emotional lesbian to every news headline that scares you. pic.twitter.com/FUE7rY4ijW

Kimmel and ABC certainly knew that spreading the lie that Tyler Robinson was MAGA was false. The whole point of spreading this lie was to slander Republicans and thus cause public harm. The disinformation campaign has misled the public in such a manner that more people think Tyler Robinson is indeed MAGA, so it’s easy to argue that he broke FCC regulations.

That puts ABC in a position of significant legal exposure.

🔥Remember when Barack & Michelle PERSONALLY got Roseanne fired from her own ABC show..THEY CALLED ABC UP…then ABC killed her off and aired the show she created without her? So far Jimmy Kimmel has only been SUSPENDED..and Trump didn’t call them up personally like the Obamas.… pic.twitter.com/Uno753gmUi

— Johnny St.Pete (@JohnMcCloy) September 18, 2025

But even if this were not the case, Kimmel’s offense is far more significant and reflects far more harshly on ABC, since their airwaves were the vehicle for spreading this slander. Roseanne and Gina Carano made comments as individuals online, while Kimmel was paid to say what he did; his monologue was the product of collaboration among many ABC employees, and the network broadcast it.

Never forget how Jimmy Kimmel misrepresented @therealroseanne joke tweet and pushed for the network to take her show away. pic.twitter.com/zok8WJN5nt

Kimmel himself has a history of dancing on the graves of canceled celebrities, such as Roseanne and Tucker Carlson, so when he cries over his suspension, I find it hard to shed tears in my own eyes. It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy.

Were you there when the government went after the New York Post and got them pulled off of social media? Were you there when The Babylon Bee was taken off Twitter for calling a man a man? Will you be there next time?

— Frank J. Fleming (@IMAO_) September 18, 2025

All this storm and strife about Kimmel (and Colbert before him) has nothing to do with free speech; it has to do with whose voices get heard. ABC was undoubtedly looking for an excuse to dump Kimmel and is testing the waters right now; he is costing them a lot of money, just as Colbert was costing CBS $50 million a year in losses.

It is probably a relief that they have an excuse to show him the door.

So let me get this straight. The WGA had no problem with Roseanne Barr or Gina Carano being fired for something they said, but Kimmel they have a problem with. The WGA are either misogynists or they only represent those with left wing views.

It is perfectly reasonable for conservatives, as advocates for free speech, to have arguments about these matters and disagree about whether right-wing “cancel culture” has gone too far in recent days. We can have a principled discussion.

First ABC came for Roseanne Barr, and they did not speak out because she was a conservative.

Then ABC came for Tim Allen, and they did not speak out because he was a conservative.

Then ABC came for Jimmy Kimmel, and they spoke out because the shoe is now on the other foot. pic.twitter.com/PTctc7DdnV

But liberals aren’t welcome, not because they are not part of our club, but because they don’t mean what they say. They are sophists. They change positions whenever it suits them. They have zero principles. They applaud shutting up conservatives and scream “free speech” when liberals face consequences.

That is a work of art.

So, anybody who thought Gina Carano or Roseanne Barr deserved to be fired, sit down and STFU about this.
