The Daytona 500 delivered its signature high-octane thrills, but Sunday’s race ended with a jaw-dropping crash that had fans on the edge of their seats.

As the final laps unfolded, NASCAR driver Ryan Preece was caught in a violent wreck, flipping multiple times before coming to a stop. Miraculously, both Preece and fellow driver Christopher Bell, who was also involved, were evaluated and released without serious injury, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Adding to the excitement, President Donald Trump made an appearance at the legendary race, bringing along his granddaughter Carolina for the occasion.

Trump, a longtime supporter of NASCAR and its fans, kicked off the event with a grand entrance, addressing the drivers over the radio as his presidential limousine, known as “The Beast,” led the field in a pace lap.

The crowd erupted in cheers, underscoring the strong patriotic spirit that runs deep in NASCAR’s loyal fanbase.

This year’s Daytona 500 saw 41 drivers competing in what is considered the crown jewel of stock car racing. The event, known for its intense speeds and daring moves, lived up to its reputation with multiple close calls and aggressive driving throughout the night.

However, it was the late-race wreck involving Preece that had fans holding their breath.

The resilience of these drivers, combined with the incredible advancements in car safety, proved once again why NASCAR remains one of the most thrilling yet well-prepared sports.

With Trump’s presence energizing the crowd and the drivers pushing their limits on the track, the 67th running of the Daytona 500 reminded everyone why it’s called the “Great American Race.”
