Salem Media Adds Brad Parscale As Strategy Chief

New from the home office:  Salem Media Group (OTCQX: SALM) has hired former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale, one of the more innovative marketing pioneers in politics, as our new Chief Strategy Officer. Hot Air has obtained a copy of the press release, which reads:

Parscale’s career skyrocketed during his tenure as Digital & Media Director for Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, where his innovative use of social media and digital fundraising reshaped modern political campaigning, leading to his role as Campaign Manager for Trump’s 2020 re-election bid.

Parscale’s life has been transformed by his faith following his baptism and a renewed dedication to Christ in recent years. Salem recently made some other changes to strengthen its financial footing. Our Christian-music stations were sold off and our creditors settled all of our debt, leaving Salem with no other encumbrances except the usual revolving debt and a greater focus on our core businesses: Christian and political news and commentary, in both broadcast, publishing and web properties. That allows us to start restrategizing for our strengths and prepare for more opportunities.

Creating a Chief Strategy Officer now makes good sense, in other words. Previously, our options may have been too limited to warrant it, but now we should prepare for the future with the best and brightest in our ranks. Parscale’s stunning success with Facebook and other social-media platforms in building a grassroots movement for Donald Trump highlights the skills and talent he could bring to bear for Salem, including our Townhall Media division.
