Senate Democrats Dive Into the Sewer and Swim

Remember the “kids in cages” photos that were all the rage during the first Trump administration?

Yeah, THOSE photos. Taken during the Obama administration. It was pure propaganda, and worked to pluck the heartstrings of every liberal mom and fuel the rage at Donald Trump. Obama was the God-King of moral rectitude, the man who dropped bombs on the heads of American citizens and famously said, “I am good at killing people” after picking up his Nobel Prize. 

Donald Trump? He is the Bad Orange Man who put kids in cages.

Straight out of the lefty playbook, and of course the media fueled the fires of rage by flashing those pictures up on the screen and linking them to Trump, not Obama.

The same has been going on this go-around, of course, because we live in a world where Biden is “sharp as a tack,” the Covington Kids terrorized a “Native American Elder,” where Jussie Smollett cowered in MAGA country (Chicago), and cops shoot after innocent kids say “hands up, don’t shoot.”

Everybody has gotten in on the act because the act works. We live in the age of low information/high rage voters and activists who claim to be “peaceful” while throwing things and assaulting federal law enforcement, looting, or destroying hotels while hunting ICE. 

So why shouldn’t the Senate Judiciary Democrats get in on the act? You know, the folks who help decide who gets on the Supreme Court and the federal benches…

It’s such a touching photograph, and such a sad story. Who has a heart hard enough to ignore the pain, suffering, and death of an innocent child, no matter the circumstances?

The story isn’t even fake, either. It really happened. Only it happened under Joe Biden, in 2023. 

The death of an 8-year-old migrant girl in 2023 while she was in the custody of U.S. Customs and Border Protection prompted investigations and the removal of the agency’s chief medical officer. Now, two immigrant rights groups are seeking $15 million in damages on behalf of the girl’s family.

In a wrongful death claim filed with the federal government on Thursday, lawyers for the family offer the most detailed public account yet of the life and death of the child, Anadith Danay Reyes Álvarez, and her family’s efforts to obtain answers about her care in federal custody.

Her death came during a record increase in migration, as the Biden administration struggled to curb illegal crossings and faced criticism about overcrowded detention facilities and the treatment of minors. Illegal crossings plunged in the final months of the Biden administration after a change in asylum policy, and have remained very low under President Trump. But the Trump administration has made families with children targets for detention and removal as President Trump seeks to fulfill a campaign pledge to deport millions of undocumented immigrants.

The story is tragic for many reasons, not the least of which is that Biden lured her parents to make a dangerous trek through Latin America, into an area controlled by drug cartels and in which rape gangs attacked women regularly. She had access to great medical care—she had been flown to Spain for open heart surgery when she still lived in Panama, but her parents decided to risk it all to come here because Joe Biden opened the border. 

Anadith, a Panamanian national, was diagnosed with sickle cell disease and a heart condition at a young age. When she was 5, she traveled with her father to Spain for open-heart surgery and returned to Panama. The family made their way up through Mexico and sought to cross into the United States in May 2023 in hopes of providing safety and a better life for their daughter, according to the complaint.

The promise by Biden of sanctuary was, shall we say, not exactly fulfilled. So much so that one of Biden’s Deputy Press Secretaries is outraged. But only because he bought the claim that it was Trump’s fault.

The Senate Judiciary Democrats want you to believe it is all Trump’s fault, just as Obama’s kids in cages were. And, as you can see, they can get Biden people worked up about how evil the president is, as long as they think it is Trump. 

Do you expect to see outraged news people challenge the Democrats and call them liars, as they do to Trump every day? 

Of course not. These are the same people who gave us the “fine people” hoax, the Steele Dossier hoax, the “sharp as a tack” hoax, and the Covington Kids.
