This shooting comes amid a surge of high-profile self-defense incidents nationwide.
Earlier in the week, a similar event unfolded in West Chester Township, Ohio, when a homeowner fatally shot an alleged intruder.
That incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, and the suspect was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
Both cases highlight the ongoing conversation about self-defense rights and the use of firearms in home protection.
While investigations continue, these incidents underscore the risks faced by homeowners and the legal complexities surrounding such situations.
