On a scale from “blathering” to “drooling,” just how dumb is Stacey Abrams?
In a post for MSNBC, the “exhausted, terrified, and rightly disheartened” Abrams said of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): “The core principles it represents have been around since America’s conception.”
I know we’re exhausted, disheartened, and rightly terrified. But we’ve been here before. We’ve fought, resisted, and built—together. Today, I’m reflecting on where we go from here and how we keep moving forward. pic.twitter.com/LYF0Tp6Vj6

Sure. Who could forget studying Thomas Paine’s seminal tract on Cisheteronormativity in Dog Parks in fifth-grade U.S. History?
Abram’s thoughts (if they merit that distinction) were abridged and polished from an appearance on former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s podcast, the ostensible purpose of which is to diagnose the critical errors made by Democrats in the 2024 election season.
But Abrams, ever the sore loser, just couldn’t help herself. The Howard University faculty member instead delivered an Idiot’s History of the United States. (RELATED: Two-Time Election Loser Stacey Abrams To Teach ‘Race And Black Politics’ At Major University | The Daily Caller)
“Our entire country is premised on DEI,” Abrams wrote.
Abrams is an ox (or a water buffalo, or an elephant, what have you) hitched to a ramshackle wagon. The savvier political actors in the Democrat party recognize the unpopularity of DEI and are carefully distancing themselves from the hated acronym, if not the concepts inherent therein.
Even the editorial team at the New York Times has reluctantly admitted the “positive impact” of President Trump’s actions against DEI. The President alluded to her growing irrelevance in his address Tuesday night, referring to “a woman named Stacey Abrams. Have you ever heard of her?”
“The problem is,” according to Abrams, “we’ve allowed the intention of DEI to be hijacked by those who want the freedom to discriminate.”
The “intention of DEI,” if it isn’t already obvious, is nothing more or less than an economic scheme to legitimize the pilfering of resources from groups deemed unworthy: the white, the male, the straight, the high performing, the normal.
And though no one would accuse Abrams of possessing too grand a vocabulary, she would do well to remember the verb “discriminate” does not necessarily imply “without just cause.” Discrimination can simply refer to the act of differentiation. This is a basic freedom.
One discriminates one person from many when proposing marriage. One discriminates in choosing an orange instead of a donut. Though, in fairness, Abrams appears unfamiliar with that particular form of discrimination.
She continued, puzzled: “When you see people who are anti-DEI, what we should be asking is which part they don’t like?”
Hm. Off the dome: the mutilation and psychological abuse of children, anti-meritocratic hiring and college admissions criteria, a comprehensive lowering of standards to accommodate lazy and spoiled adult children. Maybe Abrams is only pretending to be really, really stupid. Maybe this is a sleight of hand meant to distract from the Georgia Senate’s ongoing investigation into Abram’s potential campaign finance violations. “Anyone who broke the law and stole from taxpayers, including Stacey Abrams, should go to jail,” said Georgia Senate President Burt Jones.
Abrams has a lot on her plate. But should she find the time and capacity for self-reflection, she might consider President Trump’s closing remarks, which offer a positive, and accurate, reading of American history: “Our ancestors crossed a vast ocean, strode into the unknown wilderness, and carved their fortunes from the rock and soil of a perilous and very dangerous frontier. They chased our destiny across a boundless continent…Now it is our time to take up the righteous cause of American liberty.”
