A New York-based stand-up comedian is under fire after posting on social media that he was “glad” conservative activist Charlie Kirk had been assassinated, calling the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder “a demon” and mocking his death as “white on white crime,” as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Darius Dinkins, who describes himself as a comedian and performer, published comments and a video on Instagram following Kirk’s killing on Wednesday at Utah Valley University. The posts drew widespread condemnation as they circulated across multiple platforms.

BREAKING NEWS: Conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, 31, has died after being shot at an event in Utah. An appalling assault on free speech and democracy. Charlie always welcomed debate, with anyone. This is disgusting, and heart-breaking.

In a written post, Dinkins said: “I can’t find it in my spirit to pretend. I envy those of you who can facade. But why would you?”

In an accompanying video, Dinkins went further, saying Kirk “was a demon” and that he “got giddy” reading about his assassination. “Some people do deserve to,” he said, rejecting calls for civility after the killing.

Dinkins dismissed sympathy for Kirk’s wife and two children. “Oh, he had a family. You know who else had families? Every single victim of the mass shootings that he’s repeatedly defended,” Dinkins said.

The comedian then referenced Kirk’s past remarks on abortion.

“He said that he would force his daughter to give birth to the result of an assault if she got pregnant from it, and force her—even if she wanted to get rid of it. He would force her. They were going to hate him later anyway.”

Dinkins also mocked the circumstances of Kirk’s death. “Got obliterated by a fellow white man.

White-on-white crime, first of all. He passed doing what he loved, which was arguing with teenagers and scapegoating gang violence. So, at the end of the day, he got what he wanted,” he said.

He concluded: “I’m sick of some of you all. I’m sick of this respectability thing that we’re all just trying to get. He was a demon. I’m glad it happened. I got giddy reading it. The idea that we need to be civil in the current American political landscape? Laughable. It’s laughable.”

Brooklyn “Comedian” Darius Dinkins calls Charlie Kirk “a demon,” mocks his assassination as “white on white crime,” and admits, “I’m glad it happened. I got giddy reading it.”

Kirk was shot in the neck on Wednesday afternoon during a campus event in Orem, Utah. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The shooter fled the scene, and authorities have since recovered a rifle believed to have been used in the attack. The FBI and Utah Department of Public Safety are leading the ongoing investigation.

Vice President J.D. Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance traveled to Salt Lake City on Thursday to pay respects to Kirk’s family. President Donald Trump has called the assassination “a dark day for America” and announced Kirk will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously.
