White House Deputy Chief of Staff and interim National Security Advisor Stephen Miller engaged in a tense exchange with CNN host Pamela Brown on Friday during a live interview discussing immigration policy, executive authority, and a recent Supreme Court decision, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

The segment, which aired on CNN, focused on the Trump administration’s efforts to revoke the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) of over 500,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

Miller also addressed the administration’s broader legal strategy and recent judicial pushback against its immigration policies.

At one point, Brown pressed Miller on the administration’s criticism of federal judges. “Whenever a judge rules against this administration, you say they are going rogue,” Brown said. “Do you think a judge should just rubberstamp what your White House does?”

Miller responded by challenging what he described as a flawed premise embedded in the question.

“It’s not the job of a district court judge to perform an individual green light or red light on every single policy that the president takes as the head of the executive branch,” Miller said. “Just think about the premise baked into your question, respectfully, Pam.”

He continued, “The President is the sole head of the executive branch. He’s the only officer in the entire government that’s elected by the entire American people. Democracy does not exist at all if each action the president takes has to be approved by 700 district court judges.”

Brown attempted to interrupt multiple times, leading to crosstalk. Miller held firm, stating, “If there’s 15 communist crazy judges on the court, that each of them as a team working together can block and freeze each and every executive action — that’s not democracy.”

The discussion shifted to the recent arrest of a Mexican national in Wisconsin accused of threatening President Trump. Brown referred to the suspect as an “undocumented migrant,” prompting a pointed correction from Miller.

“I want to clarify what you mean so that we are talking about the same thing. Are you saying that this immigrant was here illegally?” Miller asked.

Brown confirmed the suspect was indeed in the country illegally but maintained the term “undocumented migrant.” Miller replied, “You said he was undocumented, and it’s not clear what that means.”

Brown said she wanted a “good faith discussion,” to which Miller responded, “When we use language that’s designed to obscure the truth, that’s not good faith. An illegal alien is an illegal alien. They’re not an ‘undocumented migrant.’”
