Actress Sydney Sweeney has announced a new collaboration with soap brand Dr. Squatch, launching a limited-edition bar soap that incorporates the same bathwater used during a promotional shoot for the company earlier this year, as reported by Page Six.

The product, titled “Bathwater Bliss,” is set to go on sale Friday, June 6, at noon EST, and only 5,000 bars will be produced.

The 27-year-old actress previously appeared in a campaign for Dr. Squatch’s Natural Body Wash, where she was featured bathing in a tub filled with the brand’s product.

The new bar soap reportedly includes exfoliating sand, pine bark extract, and a splash of the same soap from the commercial shoot.

“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap,” Sweeney said in a press release.

She added:

“It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love. Hopefully, this helps guys wake up to the realities of conventional personal care products and pushes them towards natural.”

The soap’s marketing campaign claims the scent “channels two of the best places on Earth: the great outdoors and Sydney Sweeney’s bathtub.”

The product announcement has generated a wave of reactions online. Comments on Sweeney’s social media post range from amusement to confusion.

“What has the world come to…” one user wrote.

Another added, “The gooners are gonna spend their life savings getting as many as they can.”

A third commenter joked, “Never thought I’d see the day that washing my mouth out with soap wasn’t a punishment, but I actually want to — but here we are.”

Another user posed a pointed question in response to the launch: “Are straight men ok?”

The promotion follows a trend among celebrities using novelty and shock factor to market products.
