The high-profile legal clash between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is drawing some of Hollywood’s biggest names into the fray, with Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman reportedly next in line to become directly involved.

According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, both stars will “definitely be served this week” with subpoenas connected to the ongoing legal battle between Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and Baldoni.

“It could happen at any time,” the insider claimed, suggesting that the subpoenas may be imminent.

Swift, 35, has allegedly been anticipating this development, with the source adding, “She has been waiting for a subpoena.”

The drama began in December when Lively, 37, filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, her co-star and director in the upcoming film It Ends With Us. She accused him of sexual harassment and launching a calculated smear campaign against her.

Baldoni, 41, responded with a countersuit in January, seeking $400 million in damages and accusing both Lively and Reynolds, 48, of defamation, civil extortion, and false light invasion of privacy, among other allegations.

All parties have denied the claims against them.

A court date for the trial has been scheduled for March 2026, setting the stage for a potentially explosive showdown.

What makes this battle particularly sensational is the star-studded circle surrounding the case. Taylor Swift, who is famously close to Lively and Reynolds—and the godmother to their three daughters—has already been name-dropped multiple times in Baldoni’s legal filings.

In one section of Baldoni’s lawsuit, he references an alleged text message in which Lively described Swift and Reynolds as her “dragons,” a metaphor drawn from Game of Thrones implying fierce protectors.

The lawsuit also claims Swift was present during a contentious script meeting at Lively’s New York penthouse, where the group allegedly discussed a rooftop scene rewrite for It Ends With Us.

Baldoni alleged that Lively attempted to leverage her close relationship with Swift to intimidate him during the meeting.

Adding fuel to the fire, Swift’s 2020 song “My Tears Ricochet” was featured in a poignant scene and in the trailer for It Ends With Us, further tying her to the project and the resulting turmoil.

“She was with me throughout this whole process, so I think that, for better or worse, she experienced the whole thing with me,” Lively told CBS Mornings, acknowledging Swift’s involvement in the project.

However, Swift has not been spotted publicly with Lively since the legal drama began.

A source recently told Page Six that Lively had issued a private apology to Swift for drawing her into the conflict.

“It was important to Blake to be on good terms again with Taylor.

It was never her intention to hurt Taylor or cause any harm to their friendship,” the source explained. According to the insider, Swift “appreciated” the apology and believed it was “genuine and heartfelt.”

Still, Baldoni’s legal team appears undeterred. His attorney, Bryan Freedman, suggested in February that Swift may indeed be called for a deposition, depending on how the proceedings unfold.

“I think that that’s going to be probably a game time decision,” Freedman said.

Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman’s potential role in the courtroom drama is just as intriguing. Jackman, a longtime friend and collaborator of Reynolds, co-starred with him in the 2024 blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine.

In a surprising twist, Baldoni’s legal team claims that the film’s character “Nicepool” is a direct parody of Baldoni himself.

Nicepool, who sports a signature man bun—a hairstyle Baldoni wore for years until recently—is allegedly mocked in a scene where Lively’s character “lights up” the character outside a flower shop.

This has been interpreted as a thinly veiled jab referencing Lively’s role as Lily Bloom, a florist, in It Ends With Us.

A source previously told the Daily Mail that “it’s unlikely Hugh wasn’t aware” of the apparent Nicepool dig, suggesting Jackman may have knowingly participated in the satire.

Despite the mounting media attention, neither Swift nor Jackman has publicly commented on the escalating legal battle. Representatives for all parties—including Lively, Reynolds, Baldoni, Swift, and Jackman—have yet to respond to requests for comment.

With subpoenas looming and a trial on the horizon, the legal showdown between Lively and Baldoni is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched celebrity court battles in recent memory.

And with Swift and Jackman potentially taking the stand, the case’s next act may be its most dramatic yet.
