The Democrat Lies About the SAVE Act Are Wild

As the Extended Debate on the SAVE Act drags on, the Democrats keep trotting out lies and absurdities in order to destroy the popularity of the one piece of legislation on which the vast majority of people agree. 

I mean, c’mon, man, even CNN is dragging the Democrats for how absurd their lies are. 

CNN just fact-checked Chuck Schumer live on air and wrecked him. Schumer claimed the SAVE Act “appeals to only the most fringe element of the MAGA base.” CNN instantly put up the numbers:

White Americans: 85% support voter ID
Latino Americans: 82%
Black Americans: 76%

The anchor straight-up said:  

“Voter ID is NOT controversial in this country. Not by party. Not by race. The vast majority of Americans support it.”

Schumer just called 76% of Black Americans, 82% of Latinos, and 85% of Whites “fringe MAGA.”

They don’t oppose voter ID because it’s unpopular. They oppose it because it works.

I should point out that this tweet, while mostly accurate in substance, combines two related video clips that were not aired at the same time. CNN did not, I believe, cut away from Schumer to air that refutation, although that clip is genuine. I used it because the juxtaposition is accurate. 

Can you tell me again how a bill to prevent noncitizen voting would destroy “our democracy”?

It’s not making sense—to anyone.

The Democrats are trotting out every lie and hoax they can to stop the SAVE Act, because they rightly believe it threatens the viability of an important source of votes: illegal immigrants. If you want to know why the Democrats are leaving the country defenseless against terrorists right now with their DHS shutdown, and why they are panicking over the SAVE Act, the answer is simple: they cheat in elections.

The accusations are hysterical, both in the literal sense of the term and in the sense that they are so ridiculous as to be amusing.

Some are even fairly openly admitting that if the SAVE Act passes, it will scare away illegal aliens from going to the polls. They don’t PUT it that way, but nobody I know who is legal would be afraid of this, and there is zero danger that ICE will be trolling the poll lines randomly checking people for their papers. The only way this would happen is if ICE knew an illegal was there in the first place.

Democrats are, I suppose, going one bit further than Gavin Newsom, claiming they are as stupid as their audiences. Some have said they don’t know how to get their own birth certificates, which is absurd since they surely have passports, and many are saying that women who know how to change their name suddenly can’t prove who they are.

The frequency and silliness of the lies stand out, and poll after poll shows Americans don’t buy the BS. But Democrats who support the SAVE Act won’t punish their representatives for voting against it. Their allegiance to the party overrides their belief in fair elections. 

The SAVE Act is NOT about strengthening voter ID.

It’s a way for this regime to steal upcoming elections.

Republicans want to silence MILLIONS of eligible voters by making it harder to register to vote.

Some Democrats don’t even manage to sound like they believe their own bull crap. Mark Kelly, a famed member of the Seditious Six, sounds like he is reading off cue cards. But then again, he likely benefited from illegals voting.

We are past the point where any politician will get punished by the voters for lying about even the most basic things. 

According to Chuck Schumer, the SAVE America Act will kick “tens of billions” of people off of the voter rolls.

In fact, we are now living in a world where you can fantasize about having a member of the other party killed, or having his children die in their mother’s arms, and still get elected to Attorney General.

The Democrats’ lies are annoying, but the tolerance for those lies and hoaxes by their base is actually troubling. Everybody knows there is some level of cheating that goes on. We have video of homeless people getting paid to impersonate people to get a referendum on the California ballot.
