The Democrats’ Drone Problem Drones On…

Oh, sure, I could easily write a column entirely on the mystery of why some intelligent life out there, at least intelligent enough to build either manned or unmanned aircraft, would want to fly endlessly around New Jersey. I mean, let’s face it. New Jersey is America’s equivalent of Nazareth – nothing good can come out of Jersey.

I could build this piece entirely around the fecklessness of impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, whose portfolio is, *checks notes*, security of the homeland. Mayorkas addressed the drone controversy Sunday on This Week w/George Stephanopoulos, the Sunday host who needs to work a little longer now that he’s a little lighter in the wallet. In case you missed the news, he and ABC settled their defamation suit brought by Donald Trump to the tune of $16 million – $15 in damages plus $1 million more in paying for Trump’s legal fees.

Here’s what Mayorkas had to say.

Drat the luck, says Secretary Mayorkas. If only he had the ability to protect the airspace over the continental United States. There are several different definitions for drones. It’s not always used to describe remote-controlled quad-copters buzzing around with cameras or ordinance to drop. Drones are also male honeybees – they are stingless and making no honey. Alejandro Mayorkas fits that to a T. Personally, I have no idea what to make about what’s flying above the Garden State. I’ve seen most of the videos, and thus far, it just looks like a collection of flying Sasquatches.

There is also another definition for drone that sets up what took place at Washington D.C.’s Willard InterContinental Hotel Sunday night. A drone is a person who lives on the labor of others; a parasitic loafer. Enter President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris at the DNC Holiday Party.

The 82-year-old spoke to what’s left of the Democratic National Committee staff and donor base, and did so as a world record holder for pardons issued.

Who hand-picked all of these people to be pardoned? We all know it wasn’t Joe.

I mean, it’s not even a close contest. Biden has doubled the previous record holder – FDR, who was president for 15 years. If pardons were the Women’s Freestyle, Joe Biden is Lia Thomas.

But the man who is wrapping up a storied career of grifting off of the work of others proclaimed to a political party apparatus $1.5 billion dollars poorer that his administration was a glowing success.

All of D.C.’s Democratic politicos that are now looking for work for the next four years no doubt are thrilled with the knowledge that being out in the wilderness for the foreseeable future at least resulted in a successful Biden administration.

The irony, of course, is that the idea of Joe Biden running a re-election campaign with obvious declining mental faculties, abetted by the full support and covering-up from his Vice-President, senior Democratic Party officials, and their willing accomplices in regime media, is itself among the biggest scandals ever in American politics. Biden’s transmission began slipping between second and third gear in 2020. It never got any better, despite being gaslit by all of the resources, time, and energy spent by the people in this very room.

And to add insult to injury, Biden referred to his number two, Kamala Harris, and proclaimed she’s not going away.

“You’re not going anywhere, kid…We’re not going to let you go.”

Let me state for the record that I am not, nor have I ever been a Democrat. I have never, nor do I see myself ever voting for a Democrat for any political office. That said, I’m confident in predicting that everyone in the room will let her go. Gladly.

Speaking of drones that live off the work of others, Harris did approach the podium to offere this.

Your support made our campaign stronger, says the woman who, *again checks notes*, lost decisively to the guy Joe Biden beat.

Our spirit is not defeated. We are not defeated. Let’s be clear about that. We are strong, we are clear about why we are in this, and because you’re here right now, I say again, thank you, because not only are you clear about all of that, you’re willing to put in the hard work. And that work must continue. We cannot let any circumstance or situation or individual ever take away our power to know why we do what we do, and our ability to then get that work done, and especially because we know what we stand for, and that’s why we know what to fight for. We here believe in the promise of America.

This, of course, is just magnificent. Pro tip: If a politician tells you twice in the first two sentences that they are not defeated, look at the scoreboard. They lost.

‘We are clear about why we are in this.’ Fact-check: Not even God knew what she stood for in this campaign.

‘If you’re here right now, thank you’ (for giving me money). ‘That work must continue’ (I require more money.)

‘We cannot let any circumstance or situation or individual ever take away our power…’ – If the New York Times reported on this comment using their Donald Trump filter, the headline would read ‘Vice-President Calls For Insurrection, Denies Election Results’.

‘…to know why we do what we do, and our ability to then get that work done, and especially because we know what we stand for, and that’s why we know what to fight for.’ Going back to the drone meme, it’s hard to know where in this rhetorical mess is the announcement of her candidacy for California Governor in 2026, but it’s in there somewhere. John Belushi made more sense in Animal House, and he’d been heavily drinking.

‘We here believe in the promise of America.’ – Actually, 77.25 million Americans, including a record number of Hispanics, Blacks, and union labor, voted for Donald Trump precisely because they wanted a restoration of the promise of America, not this woke, crime-riddled, UN-controlled, climate change dystopian universe the Democrats were peddling.

Look at the how the evening was billed – the Democratic National Committee’s Holiday Party. What holiday? That part wasn’t specified by anybody. Compare that to the Republican National Committee. Here’s what they had up on X last night.

The bottom line to understand the Democrats’ brand problem comes from West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin, who along with Arizona’s Kyrsten Sinema gave the country a Christmas gift of blocking Joe Biden from stacking the National Labor Relations Board through 2026. Here’s Manchin talking about the Democrat brand to C-SPAN last week.

Meanwhile, Chris Murphy, the Democratic senator from Connecticut, is the latest in a long line behind Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, not to mention the multitude of regime media voices saying the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson is bad, but…

If there is an antidote to the droning on by Democrats this past week, it has to be Van Jones. At least, he’s entertaining. The former Obama czar appeared on Chris Cillizza’ podcast, and had it up to here with the ‘How can Trump do this or that’ rhetoric regime media likes to employ. In their heart of hearts, they believe the President-Elect is an idiot, and they’re astonished he keeps defying the odds.

Jones begins the road to recovery by taking the first step – admitting the problem.

35 days until Donald Trump takes the oath of office. 35 days until political lawfare ends. 35 days until Israel is unrestrained in winning their seven-front war. 35 days until Iran begins feeling the noose tighten. 35 days until the federal government begins defending the border and enforcing immigration laws.

And 34 days until Joe Biden drones on with his farewell speech, followed immediately by a slate of pardons that will blanket Joe Biden’s deep state in a way that will make drones mapping New Jersey pale in comparison.
