You know, there never seems to be a dearth of material to write about as far as the grinning gargoyle mayor of Los Angeles and the absolute disaster of a city she is presiding over, enabled by every last elected official and all the power invested in the mighty government of the State of California.
If there is some insult to injury yet to be visited upon the residents of that once legendary urban sprawl that is LA, I’m sure it’s coming, never fear.
So far, Karen Bass, and the woke, progressive, seemingly inexorable heavy machinery rolling across the fire-scarred hills and chaparral of the Pacific Palisades and other neighborhoods ravaged by the January flames are crushing human spirits into pixie dust.
It’s insulting enough that the city and state are moving at a glacial pace, even as they collude to take possession of your property when you are finally worn into conceding defeat, either by the spiraling financial cost, or the unrelieved emotional ones.
A month ago, a Los Angeles Sheriff’s captain gave a talk to Eaton survivors addressing another foe coming to take possession of survivors property, just as they are finally seeing the lots cleared of the ruins of their lives.
Squatters are moving in.
At 6:47 in the video, Captain Ethan Marquez begins to advise Eaton fire survivors what they can do to protect their vacant lots from being take over by an RV parked there, or tents camped. And being claimed by vagrants.
The police, including the Pasadena cops, the LA or Altadena Sheriff’s Department, are still overwhelmed. There is still a city to patrol, besides the devastated neighborhoods.
Jesus, this is criminal even thinking that these miscreants and dregs can do this with impunity.
But they can.
He advises Altadena residents to put four-foot construction fencing around their property, the kind you can find at a place like Lowe’s or Home Depot. The presence of the fence gives law enforcement the tools to say, ‘That person doesn’t legally belong on that property’ if they’ve breached an existing ornage plastic fence, and then they can legally remove the squatter.
If the lot is open without the owner physically there, the deputy can do nothing.
Owners are being urged to fill out what’s called a ‘Letter of Agency.’ It gives police, as the captain calls it, basically a power of attorney to arrest someone on your property.
He has some very good advice.
It is a shame that homeowners may not have heard or that they live too far away to know what is happening to their once-beautiful lots in Pacific Palisades.
A local journalist named Luke Melchior is documenting what’s happening in the hills about the ocean, and it will just turn your stomach.

It’s one thing after another, with nary a lick of support from the very people who are paid handsomely to handle all this.
Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass EXPOSED, they lied

…Contractor walks into the City of LA One Stop Rebuilding Center handling the Pacific Palisades fires permits to speak directly to the source
– Building permits ARE NOT being issued
– Permit Fees ARE NOT WAIVED
– They can’t even answer how long it would take to get any kind of approval. They actually say they have no idea
– They literally don’t even know how long it could take to get a permit
– Not only are the permit fees not waived but this contractor says he’s even had to pay the fees on destroyed properties. The officer is unaware if any refunds can or will be issued.
– When asked if any permits are being issued he says “very very few,” so no.
This is all on camera, directly at the center
Both Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass LIED
It’s these small, independent journalists doing the yeoman’s work of getting the truth out.
In a little bit of a break for residents, a CA state senator just got Newsom’s low-income land-grab bill paused until next year, thanks to the national uproar.

…the bill that would have permitted governments to purchase & develop burned-out properties, under opposition/concern from local citizens & leaders like Councilwoman @TraciParkforLA who would be impacted & many others who do not want government ownership/development, particularly in fire zones.
This is an example of our system at work and the power of @x & citizen media. It enables a direct dialogue that had previously been restricted to donors & lobbyists & establishment power players.
Let’s continue being involved & sharing our concerns.
The more the real story keeps seeing the light of day, the more Bass, Newsom, and cronies will smoke like the rotten vampires they are, who didn’t get underground before dawn.
It just makes you sick, and the story never changes.
Bad enough, the state and city are licking their lips at your misfortune.
You shouldn’t be required to battle homeless zombies, too.
