The American left needs to update their yard signs. Something like, “In this house, we believe: it’s okay to kill the president of the United States.”
New data from the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) finds 55% of self-identified “left of center” Americans believe a Trump assassin would be “somewhat justified.” This includes 13% who believe the murder would be “completely justified.”
Assassination of political rivals is now the leftist party line. The legacy media’s coverage of the attempts on Trump’s life revealed as much: “The President didn’t suffer a head wound. But if he did, it was a good thing.”
Such sentiments are married to action. Remember that rash of nonbinary vandals lighting Teslas on fire? How about a letter released days ago revealing the would-be killer of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is set to plead guilty to the attempted assassination? An uptick in domestic terrorism probably doesn’t fill you with optimism. Unless you’re among the blue-haired arsonists.
But the left’s endorsement of violent political retaliation is a crucial admission: they know they’re losing.
Consider why the terrorist terrorizes (besides the seventy-two virgins). He’s determined legal means of redress are ineffective — either too slow, or wholly unavailable.
The left’s terrorist sympathies indict them on two counts:
- They’re mentally deranged.
- They feel disempowered.
This feeling, unlike most they hold, is based in reality.
The left’s grip on legitimate power is slipping. The American people have all but entirely rejected their most important levers of authority: the universities, The Science, and the legacy media. With Trump in office, these institutions can’t depend on the Executive Branch to do their bidding. Hence the overreach attempted by judges who would rule from the bench. The left has discerned a key organizational difference between former presidents, Democrat and Republican alike, and Trump. Assassination is only an effective means of opposition because Donald Trump is actually president of the United States. Killing him means killing his agenda.
Not so with the bureaucratic blob. Targeting a Democrat politician only results in her imminent replacement via cell replication.
As Tucker Carlson predicted seven months before the July 2024 assassination attempt: “If you felt, and you really believe it, and a lot of them do, that the worst thing that could happen to the country, and more specifically, to you in the professional class is to have Donald Trump as president — and everything you have tried has failed, and they have been accelerating steps – protests, impeachment, indictment – like, how many more arrows do you have in your quiver? And what’s the next one? And of course it’s assassination.”

Democrat representatives themselves are reluctant to condemn their constituents. “We condemn all attacks. But I don’t condemn people being mad at Elon,” said Democratic Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost when questioned regarding attacks on Tesla showrooms.

Rather than address the burgeoning “assassination culture” among their electorate, Democrat officials opt to lighten the mood with … ‘F’ bombs and dancing.
