The Left Tolerates Islamist Barbarism Because They Expect It

It’s obvious that the left is far more racist than the right. 

That shouldn’t even be a controversial statement. The left obsesses about race and all sorts of various intersectional oppression categories that assume people from different walks of life should be held to different standards than other people. 

To put it bluntly, liberals think that blacks are stupid and inclined toward criminality, Muslims are barbarians and acting in barbaric ways is just their culture, LGBTQIA people are mentally unstable degenerates who shouldn’t be held to basic standards of decency, and anybody with a skin shade that isn’t white or yellow is incapable of making it in the world without help. 

What distinguishes liberal racism from other forms, such as the kind that white supremacists express, is their belief that “equity” is the morally superior goal. The fact that they believe somebody is stupid and criminally inclined doesn’t mean that they are inferior; it means that they should be propped up, celebrated, and that the people who are smart and socially productive should give up the “privilege” that comes from being smarter and more socially adapted. 

“Kindness” means equalizing everybody, even if that means everybody is poor, society is unsafe, and criminals run wild. 

Kinda like any socialist society that has ever existed. 

That’s why every liberal rushes to condemn Israel and America while embracing countries like Iran and Pakistan, despite their moral degeneracy. Because they are brown and Muslim, who could really EXPECT them to be civilized, they ask. It never occurs to them to condemn the horrors that are committed in these countries, because they just assume that brown people are like that, and we need equity and diversity, right? 

Trump’s tweet got nonstop condemnation, stating it was against the Geneva Convention and a war crime.

I’m not joking, either. I got into a heated argument with a friend of mine who was born in a Jewish family and who hated Israel. We hashed it out, and at one point, I flat-out accused him of holding Israel to a different standard while excusing atrocities committed by its enemies. 

He said, “Yes!” I expect better from Jews! 

In other words, atrocities from Muslims are excusable because, after all, they are barbarians. Jews have a responsibility to die rather than fight back. Being the hard men on the walls fighting the barbarians was morally impermissible for decent people. 

That, I think, explains much of the reaction to Trump’s blunt warnings to Iran that set off a 24-hour firestorm of condemnation, calls for impeachment, and the new round of “Trump’s insane!” ranting. 

Trump was speaking the Islamists’ language.

And, as you can see, the Islamists will go much farther. The guy who is setting up the Iran/US negotiations is calling for the genocide of Israelis, and nobody says a peep. 

Because liberals EXPECT barbarians to be barbarians. 

I actually DON’T believe that the standards for people should be different based on religion or skin color. I am quite certain that Pakistanis can be smart and civilized. Certainly, Persians can, and have proven as much many times over the years. I have a soft spot for Persians, actually, but not the current regime in Iran. 

For that matter, I have a soft spot for the British culture as it has been, but certainly not as it is now. I, and most conservatives, judge based on what you do, not what color or other characteristic that liberals fixate on as the key to identity. 

Black people can be civilized, but liberals expect and encourage criminality, so in the logic of intersectionality, they set different standards and punishments for black criminals. It’s “social justice,” right? Can you really expect black people to be civilized? Or do well in school? 

Liberals believe that race, gender, religious affiliation, or any of a number of “protected” characteristics mean that people are incapable of meeting basic societal standards, so society should excuse whatever failings they have. It’s why research shows liberals talk down to black people, while conservatives talk to them as they would any other group of people.

Liberals just assume that black people are stupid, which is why Gavin Newsom brags about being illiterate to a black audience, and why Kathy Hochul thinks black people have never heard of a computer.

When I see the Pakistani Defense Minister’s X post, I think that he is an antisemitic bastard we cannot trust. When a liberal sees it, they shrug and say, “What can you expect from a Pakistani?”

My reaction treats him as a human being with agency; the liberals just assume that he would be a barbarian because he is Muslim, and that he should not be chastised. 

I think a lot of the people piling on Israel now do so because they “expect better” from the Jews. They have a responsibility to be fine with being victimized by barbarians, and are extra angry when they fight back. 

Certainly not everybody. A lot of people just hate Jews and want them dead, and secretly believe that the Islamists are doing the Lord’s work. 

But a substantial fraction want Israel to bend over and take it because equity demands it. The darker people can’t be expected to be civilized, and intersectional Marxism demands that we bring down the superior and uplift the inferior. 

Nope, don’t buy it. Arabs and Persians have proven they are human beings who can act civilized, and if they don’t, they deserve what they get. It’s no different than when we had to fight the Germans or Japanese, who acted as barbarians in World War II, despite having the capacity for producing the greatest and most beautiful civilizational creations ever seen. 

Germany produced Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. It also gave us Hitler. Japan…well, it didn’t exactly do itself proud in the 30s and 40s, but there is no doubt that it can produce some of the best and brightest in the world, and art that will stand for eternity. China…same. 

Muslims, Persians, Arabs, and South Asians are the same. Capable of civilization or barbarity. The liberal cult of equity justifies barbarity by assuming inferiority. 

Trump is held to a different standard than the Iranians and the Pakistanis, at least partly because liberals just assume that Iranians acting as barbarians is normal. Sure, they kill tens of thousands, but what do you expect? A genocidal tweet from Pakistan? Of course, and its totally excusable because he is brown and Muslim. 

Trump spoke in the language of barbarians because they are barbarians. They understood his message, and it looks likely to work. 

Liberals are angry that a white man spoke that way because they expect “better.” It’s not the what, it’s the who.
