The Left’s New Playbook Against Emotional Moms [WATCH]

Conservative commentator Jesse Kelly said media outlets and political activists are conducting what he described as a coordinated psychological campaign aimed at shaping public opinion against Immigration and Customs Enforcement by targeting women with emotionally charged narratives.

Kelly made the remarks while discussing what he characterized as deliberate messaging strategies designed to influence a specific segment of the population rather than the public at large.

According to Kelly, the effort focuses on married women and relies on imagery and claims he said have already been debunked.

“They’re targeting 11 million women, 11 million married women,” Kelly said.

“I believe it was that is why you are watching mostly women break on Instagram and things like that.”

Kelly argued that the messaging campaign is not accidental or improvised, but the result of extensive research and planning.

“By the way, this is not some fly by night throwing darts at a dartboard thing,” he said.

“They did all kinds of psychological studies and things like that, trying to figure out how they can use video imaging who they should go after, and what they came up with was a plan.”

According to Kelly, that plan centers on shaping public reaction to immigration enforcement, particularly deportation operations.

“And the plan was, when it comes to things like mass deportations, they believe that they can turn the hearts and minds of 11 million women,” Kelly said.

Kelly cited repeated claims circulated online and in media coverage alleging that ICE arrested a young child, which he said were false but continued to be promoted because of their emotional impact.

“Why do they go out there until again, an easily verifiable lie that ICE arrested a five year old that’s already been fact checked, debunked. It’s not true at all,” Kelly said.

“Yet, they’re still repeating that lie.”

He said the presentation of the claim is intentional and carefully crafted.

“What is the idea behind it? And they have the picture up. He’s all over everyone’s Instagram feed. He’s an adorable little boy. He’s in his little stocking cap. He’s what?” Kelly said.

Kelly said the objective of the messaging is not to persuade everyone, but to move a narrow group of voters on a single issue.

“The idea is to shift 11 million women over to the left on this issue alone,” he said.

“They know they’re not going to get, you, to be frank, they’re not going to get anybody who’s watching this right now. But that’s not necessarily the target of it, and they they’re not trying to get everyone.”

Kelly said even limited success can have political consequences.

“They would take everyone. They don’t need everyone, though,” he said.

“They just need a little here and a little there. Just shave off a little margin here and shave off a little margin there.”

Kelly framed the strategy as one that exploits emotional instincts.

“It’s designed for people with good hearts,” he said.

“Women are, in general, much more caring, nurturing human beings than men are. That’s just how God made us, and therefore children, women dying, people in distress.”

He compared the strategy to past high-profile incidents that generated widespread emotional reactions.

“That’s why George Floyd was so so effective for them,” Kelly said.

“It’s a sweaty guys calling for his mom. And every mom in the country immediately her heart breaks. It just does right it?”

Kelly concluded by characterizing the effort as a professional psychological operation that he believes will achieve some results, even if it does not fully succeed.

“It is a targeted thing, and it’s targeted, and it’s a very professional operation, to be honest with you,” Kelly said.

“It’s essentially a psychological operation designed for a very specific group of people, and it will have some success.”

“I’m not saying they’re winning, but they are going to have successes, and you’re going to watch people in your life fall to that, and it’s going to be very frustrating,” he added.

“But propaganda is propaganda, because it worked.”
