The deep state just took another hit, and this time, it backfired spectacularly. Leland Dudek, once targeted for removal over his cooperation with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is now in charge of the very agency that sought to oust him.
Dudek, previously overseeing the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) anti-fraud office, has been named acting commissioner after the departure of Michelle King, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Dennis Quaid’s #1 Warning for Americans
This move is more than just a personnel shift—it’s a window into the kind of bureaucratic infighting that has kept waste and fraud alive for decades.
As The Daily Wire reported, Dudek was placed on administrative leave, accused of working too closely with DOGE to expose inefficiencies and mismanagement within the SSA.
Dudek detailed his ordeal in a now-deleted LinkedIn post, laying out how the bureaucratic machine tried to crush him for daring to bring accountability into a system designed to resist it.
“At 4:30pm EST, my boss called me to tell me I had been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. They want to fire me for cooperating with DOGE.”

He continued, openly admitting to what his detractors viewed as crimes:
“I confess. I helped DOGE understand SSA. I mailed myself publicly accessible documents and explained them to DOGE. I confess. I moved contractor money around to add data science resources to my anti-fraud team. I confess. I asked where the fat was and is in our contracts so we can make the right tough choices.”
Dudek also admitted to stepping on some bureaucratic toes to get things done:
“I confess. I bullied agency executives, shared executive contact information, and circumvented the chain of command to connect DOGE with the people who get stuff done.”
His justification? Simple patriotism:
“Everything I have ever done is in service to our country, our beneficiaries, and our agency.”
Despite the internal resistance, Dudek is now leading the agency, while those who tried to oust him, including Deputy Commissioner Gina Clemons, are still clinging to their positions. But the tide may be turning.
Billy Gribbin, spokesperson for Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), summed up the conservative approach to bureaucratic reform in a fiery post on X:
“I hope we see more of this. There are many good civil servants who have been quietly frustrated for years with politically-motivated mismanagement who possess an encyclopedic knowledge of the problems with their agencies. Put them in charge, hand them scalpels and flamethrowers.”

Of course, the leftist media is working overtime to spin this story, trying to scare Americans into thinking Social Security is now in jeopardy. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shut down the manufactured panic, stating:
“President Trump has nominated the highly qualified and talented Frank Bisignano to lead the Social Security Administration, and we expect him to be swiftly confirmed in the coming weeks.”
White House representative Harrison Fields added:
“In the meantime, the agency will be led by a career Social Security anti-fraud expert as the acting commissioner. President Trump is committed to appointing the best and most qualified individuals who are dedicated to working on behalf of the American people, not to appease the bureaucracy that has failed them for far too long.”
President Trump also addressed the departure of Michelle King with his trademark bluntness: “Resigned or got fired?” he asked.
“I think got fired. You know when you fire someone, they always resign, and then they say, ‘We resigned.’ But when you have numbers like that, I think really it’s got fired.”

DOGE’s role is clear: stop fraud, not strip benefits. “Rest assured, if you paid into the system honestly, you will continue to receive your Social Security checks,” Leavitt emphasized.
It’s about time Washington stopped coddling bureaucrats who let fraud thrive while hardworking Americans struggle. With fighters like Dudek stepping up, the Trump administration is showing exactly what draining the swamp looks like in action.
