Amid an ever-evolving Iranian conflict and all the opinions that accompany it, the sound is deafening, the noise is blinding. As the world waits to see if the cease-fire will hold and gas prices come down, we seem to have forgotten the other noise that blinded us before.
The Epstein files, multiple government shutdowns, the Save Act, No Kings, Bondi, and Noem removed…there are constant distractions, a low-level noise that can obscure the accomplishments of the current Trump administration. If efforts to put Trump in prison, pose financial hardships or threaten his safety are unsuccessful, opponents are focusing on derailing his second term. That seems to be the objective.
The 24-hour news cycle brings another self-made psyop every day. It prevents most from seeing that the things they said were important are being silently accomplished. A wide-open southern border has faded from memory. Record-breaking inflation during the 4-year Biden term and the highest gas prices in American history have been replaced with a ‘boots on the ground’ debate.
Prior to the 2024 presidential election, the top two issues for the American people were immigration and affordability. Biden’s wide-open border allowed anywhere from 8 million to 15 million illegal immigrants to invade the nation. Between 1 million and 2 million ‘got aways’ entered the country. No one knows who they were, where they came from, or where they went.

Democrats may have differing perspectives, but there have been incidents where undocumented immigrants were involved in serious crimes. Some point to crime statistics indicating Hispanics commit fewer crimes than other groups. Many people feel that even one such incident is too many for individuals not lawfully present in the country.
Blinded by the noise, we forget that Trump shut down the open border in 2025. According to the US Customs and Border Patrol, US-Mexico border crossings dropped to a 55-year low in fiscal year 2025. At the peak of Biden’s organized illegal invasion, there were 2.2 million apprehensions in FY 2022. In 2025, monthly border apprehensions fell to under 9,000 a month, and for seven months in a row, zero illegals were released into America.
Blinded by the noise, we forget the Trump administration has deported between 2 and 2.5 million. Many self-deported, but about 600,000 have been captured, held, adjudicated, and removed. Over half of those 600,000 were convicted criminals or awaiting trial for violent offenses.
A crackdown on crime in American cities by the Trump administration resulted in the lowest murder rate in 100 years, but other violent crime was down too. The Council on Criminal Justice report tracked by the Real-Time Crime Index shows aggravated assaults, gun assaults, and sexual assaults all fell in 2025. Even shoplifting and burglaries declined, but blinded by the noise, many are unable to see success.

The daily distraction of contrails and alien beings keeps people from seeing the economic progress that was made before the Democrats shut down the government last fall. Wage growth was steady; GDP was around 3%, and inflation was consistently around 2.8%. Compare those numbers to the Biden years, where cumulative inflation was near 20%, and Americans’ wages couldn’t keep up, making almost everything unaffordable.
All of that was before the Trump Administration deregulation positively impacted sectors of the economy, but that is coming. The One Big Beautiful Bill is increasing tax refunds right now. As of late March, the average tax refund is $3,521.00, up 11.1% from 2025’s $3170.00. No tax on tips or overtime, and a social security tax deduction is making a difference in Americans’ bank accounts.
The shutdown may have momentarily slowed America’s economic engine, but if you turn down the noise that blinds you daily, you will hear the humming of a future with prosperity and new opportunities for all. The economy, safety and security, the southern border…that’s what mattered on election day 2024. It’s just as important today.
Republican Clay Fuller won the Special Election for the seat previously occupied by Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday night. Many pundits are saying the margin of victory was concerning, but I prefer to listen to the words of Fuller in his acceptance speech when he said, “When we stay together, we can do anything.”
Don’t be blinded by the noise. Focus on what really matters. Stay positive and help make a difference in the 2026 midterm election by accentuating the accomplishments that were promised and made and how they are being kept or get out of the way.
