President Donald Trump issued a firm warning to the Iran-backed Houthi militants on Monday, declaring that continued attacks on U.S. and allied shipping in the Red Sea will be met with intensified military response.

The statement comes after a series of recent U.S. strikes targeting the group’s operational and leadership infrastructure.

Trump made the remarks in a post on his Truth Social platform, following reports of mounting U.S. military action against Houthi forces in Yemen.

“The Iran-backed Houthi Terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks.

Many of their Fighters and Leaders are no longer with us,” Trump stated.

“We hit them every day and night — Harder and harder. Their capabilities that threaten Shipping and the Region are rapidly being destroyed.”

The president emphasized that American military operations would not end until the Houthis ceased targeting U.S. and international maritime vessels in the region.

“Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation,” Trump added.

“The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at U.S. ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran.”

JUST IN: President Donald Trump says the Houthis have now been “DECIMATED” over the past couple weeks due to U.S. strikes.

He warns: “we have only just begun…”

The Houthis, based in northern Yemen, have been conducting attacks on commercial and military vessels passing through the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden — a critical global trade corridor.

The group, officially known as Ansar Allah, has received support from the Iranian regime, including weaponry, intelligence, and training.

They are designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department.

A report from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) on March 28 detailed the extent of Houthi aggression: “Backed by Iran, the Houthis have spent the past year and a half attacking the U.S. Navy, firing ballistic missiles and drones at Israeli citizens, and disrupting global shipping. Houthi terrorists threaten our troops, our allies, and international commerce.”

The recent U.S. strikes follow several months of heightened conflict in the region, including repeated drone and missile launches aimed at both military and civilian targets in the Red Sea region.

The escalation of U.S. action under President Trump marks a shift from the prior administration’s policy, which was widely criticized for its limited response to Houthi aggression.

Trump’s latest statement indicates that U.S. operations will continue to expand unless the Houthis halt attacks entirely.

Intelligence assessments have identified critical nodes within the Houthi command structure that have been targeted over the past several weeks.

No formal response has yet been issued by Iranian officials or the Houthi leadership.

However, Iranian state-backed media outlets have acknowledged recent losses and indicated ongoing coordination with proxy groups across the region.

U.S. Central Command has confirmed the use of precision strikes targeting missile launch sites, weapons depots, and communications centers operated by the Houthis in Yemen.

Pentagon officials have stated that the operations are intended to degrade the group’s ability to launch further attacks on international shipping and U.S. military assets.

As the situation in the region remains tense, U.S. naval forces continue to maintain a presence in the Red Sea to protect commercial routes and enforce freedom of navigation under international law.
