Radio host and podcaster Charlamagne Tha God offered a blunt assessment of Kamala Harris’ political future during a recent episode of The Breakfast Club, stating that a third run for the presidency would be a waste of time for the former Vice President, as reported by Breitbart.
Charlamagne, who has grown increasingly critical of the Democratic Party, questioned Harris’ chances of success in 2028 and voiced broader concerns about the party’s overall effectiveness.

“I don’t know if she should run again,” Charlamagne said. “But I definitely would like to see her write a book. I definitely would like to see her start a podcast and just build a real connection with people. And she is relatively young.”

While offering some support for Harris remaining active within the party, Charlamagne was clear that he sees no realistic path for her back to the White House. “I just don’t know what’s going to happen in 2028, man. I just think Democrats suck so bad. I don’t know.”

Harris has already mounted two unsuccessful campaigns for the presidency. In 2019, she dropped out of the Democratic primary before a single vote was cast, following a campaign that struggled with direction and messaging.
She later became the default nominee in 2024 when President Joe Biden declined to run for a second term. That campaign ended in a historic loss to President Donald Trump, further damaging her national prospects.
Charlamagne also criticized the party more broadly, expressing a lack of confidence in their ability to deliver results. “That’s just my lack of faith in the Democrats,” he said. “I just don’t see them having the team or the message to win in the midterms.”
He added that the party’s go-to strategy of attacking Trump was no longer effective. “Trump being bad is not good enough,” he said. “Trump being a liar is not good enough.”
Charlamagne’s commentary has continued to reflect deep dissatisfaction with Democratic leadership, even as he promotes Harris’ new book.
During the same interview, he described her as someone who could be “a leader in the Democratic Party,” but ultimately concluded that her presidential ambitions may no longer be viable.
