They Like Him, The Really, Really Like Him
“Excited.” “Optimistic.”
That’s how a majority of people in America feel about the incoming Trump administration. And we are not just talking MAGA, because a lot of Trump voters aren’t especially MAGA, and the percentage of Americans who approve of Trump exceeds by a fair amount the percentage of people who voted for him.
Much improved from 2016, this Trump presidential transition is getting 2 thumbs up from Americans. Trump’s net approval rating is up 17 pts (to +18 pts).
A majority (53%) are excited/optimistic for Trump’s coming term.

Personally, I would use the word “relief” to describe my most powerful feelings for the next four years. Not just because Trump is hopefully going to be able to clean up the mess we are in–we will see–but because the last seven or eight years have been exhausting, and the American people are done with the “Bad Orange Man” crew.
I have found the last four years to be an almost intolerable period. A very un-American period in that any questioning, any opinions, any likes or dislikes were held up to a very limited list of “permitted positions” in order to assess acceptability. 2/

The election was a massive rejection of the Trump haters, perhaps even more than an endorsement of Trump’s policy proposals. People got a good, hard look at the left, their lies, their tyrannical nature, and decided to send them back to Hades, where they belong. All the primping, preening, attacks on morality and common sense, and the hatred for ordinary people was exposed for the world to see, and America rejected it.
Notice how the Democrats, for the most part, have been cautiously accepting the fact that Trump won. Biden was beaming when Trump went to visit, and huge Democrats like Mark Cuban and Bill Gates are reaching out in the hope of getting some influence.
Literally Hitler is pretty popular right now. Funny how that worked. After relentless attacks for a decade, the American people chose him over his persecutors.
There are still certified Trump haters, and the Democrats are going to waste no time putting obstacles in his way. Trump is genuinely an existential threat to the transnational elite, so the fight will go on.
But with the election the toxicity of being attached to Trump is gone. Nobody is worried about being associated with him, and I suspect the Lincoln Project grift is done for, along with the NeverTrump Republicans. There is no market for that sort of thing anymore.
On November 5th a fever broke, and while as a nation we are far from recovered, the healing has begun. You can feel it. The American people can feel it.
And it makes them optimistic.
