As the Biden-Harris administration prepares to leave office, it has approved the use of American-made long-range weapons by Ukraine, further escalating tensions with Russia.
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has described this decision as “the most evil thing” he has witnessed, warning of the potential for catastrophic consequences.
The Biden administration has authorized Ukraine to deploy Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) for strikes inside Russian territory.

This supersonic-guided missile system, with a range of approximately 190 miles, is capable of carrying cluster munitions or conventional warheads.
According to reports, Ukraine has already fired six ATACMS missiles into Russia’s Bryansk region, targeting military facilities.
Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that five missiles were intercepted by S-400 and Pantsir air defense systems, but debris caused a fire at a military installation.
The Kremlin responded by updating its nuclear doctrine, stating that attacks against Russia or its allies by a non-nuclear state with the support of a nuclear power could be considered a joint nuclear attack.
Tucker Carlson, in a recent interview with journalist Glenn Greenwald, expressed alarm over the Biden administration’s decision to allow these strikes.
Carlson criticized what he called an act of recklessness by an outgoing administration.
“I think we’re watching the most evil thing I’ve ever seen in my lifetime, which is the lame duck administration leaving the next administration with a world war, with nuclear conflict,” Carlson said.
He described Ukraine as a “proxy state of the United States” and argued that this escalation could force Russian President Vladimir Putin into a more aggressive response.
Carlson noted that Putin’s decision-making is heavily influenced by domestic political pressures. “He cannot appear weak. That’s a huge threat to him,” Carlson said.
“If he can’t hide attacks on him by the United States through Ukraine, either on Moscow or big civilian casualties, I think he will have no choice in his view but to launch a serious response against Ukraine or NATO countries, or possibly the United States. It seems like the most reckless thing that’s ever happened in my life.”
Glenn Greenwald echoed Carlson’s concerns, questioning the timing and intent behind the decision. “For Joe Biden or whoever’s acting in his name, to do this just two weeks after the country resoundingly rejected governance by the Democratic Party and the administration, and on his way out as an 81-year-old man, knowing that he has about six weeks left in office, to just say, ‘I know that these are massive risks, but I’m going to take them,’” Greenwald said.
He added that the escalation complicates efforts by the incoming Trump administration to fulfill campaign promises to resolve the conflict. “Instead, we’re risking escalation with the world’s largest superpower, nuclear power, over what?” Greenwald asked.

The decision to escalate military support for Ukraine comes as President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office.
Trump has promised to de-escalate the conflict in Ukraine and focus on diplomatic solutions.
However, the recent developments could create additional challenges for his administration.
As tensions continue to rise, questions remain about the long-term implications of Biden’s actions and the potential for further conflict between NATO and Russia.
