Political commentator Tim Pool described the escalating violence surrounding federal immigration enforcement in Minneapolis as “terrorism,” warning that the situation has moved far beyond protests or riots and now poses a serious threat to federal agents and public safety.
Pool made the remarks during an exchange with Fox News host Jesse Watters, who raised concerns about the broader implications of the unrest.
“It seems like they want some sort of civil fracture. Tim, do they?” Watters asked.
Pool responded by pointing to actions taken by local officials and radical activists, arguing that the violence reflects a dangerous escalation driven by opposition to federal immigration enforcement.
“It seems so now, I don’t want to say at the highest levels, Democrat politicians want to foment Civil War, as I often talk about, but they’re beholden to their constituents,” Pool said.
“So we have a mayor suggesting the police should now be fighting federal agents, which is horrifying, but it’s actually quite simple.”
Pool said ICE agents are carrying out enforcement operations in response to voter priorities, not political whims.

“ICE agents are out on the ground across the country because I asked them to be, because you asked them to be, because the American voter said immigration is a top issue for us,” Pool said.
“We want Republicans in office. We want Donald Trump in office, and we want this problem solved once and for all.”
According to Pool, violent extremists have gone far beyond lawful protest by directly targeting federal vehicles and personnel.
“So what are we seeing violent extremists who oppose our democracy and the will of the people,” Pool said.
“That video you showed where they put the tow rope and rip out the weapons locker? That’s not the only one.”
He described additional incidents allegedly captured on video during the unrest.
“There were other vehicles they ransacked,” Pool said.
“There’s a video purported to show a man stealing what appears to be a rifle from a federal vehicle and ammunition as well as patches, tourniquets and other objects.”
Pool rejected the characterization of the events as protests or riots.
“This is not a protest. This is not a riot,” he said.
“These are political extremists, and it’s overt error.”
He said the situation crossed an even more dangerous threshold when individuals publicly identified federal agents.
“I’ll tell you when it upgrades to terror, when these people are reading the names of the agents on camera, which they did after they ransacked the vehicle,” Pool said.
“After they leaked their names and apparently went and found their private vehicles. So we’re at a whole new level.”
Drawing on his own experience covering protests, Pool said the current violence is unprecedented.
“And Jesse, I used to go on the ground all the time. I covered tons of these protests,” Pool said.
“I’ve been personally attacked and assaulted by many of these extremists. I have never seen this level of extremism.”
Pool contrasted earlier protest-related violence with the current situation.
“I mean, we’ve seen fire bombs, we’ve seen broken windows, but to ransack federal vehicles and steal their weapons,” he said.
Pool also addressed the fatal shooting of a woman identified as Renee during one of the confrontations, calling the incident tragic while emphasizing the dangerous circumstances facing federal agents.
“So let me, let me say this about what happened to Renee. Good,” Pool said.
“You may have seen the video immediately following the moment where she dies, and it’s tragic. I wish she didn’t. I wish it didn’t happen.”
He said the aftermath highlighted a disconnect between activists and the reality of federal law enforcement operations.
“But you hear her lover say, why were you using real bullets?” Pool said.
“There’s two different people here. There’s two different groups.”
Pool described what he said was a deliberate effort by extremists to draw ordinary protesters into dangerous confrontations.
“You’ve got your political extremists, and they radicalize your liberal ICE Mom, your run of the mill suburban mom who doesn’t really understand what they’re being asked to do,” he said.
He warned that activists are encouraging unprepared civilians to interfere with armed federal agents conducting high-risk operations.
“The extremists are advocating that these middle aged women show up to federal law enforcement operations where armed federal agents are seeking out criminal cartels, murderers, rapists, child traffickers,” Pool said.
“And they’re wondering why these these ICE agents are apprehensive and armed with lethal munitions.”
Pool concluded by warning that the situation could deteriorate further.
“They are not they’re not prepared for this,” he said.
“And I fear it will get worse.”
