Commentator Batya Ungar-Sargon sharply criticized Democratic officials and activists for what she described as deliberate misrepresentation of Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions, arguing that political rhetoric is being used to shield criminal non-citizens and obstruct lawful enforcement.
Ungar-Sargon made the remarks while reacting to recent events in Minnesota, drawing a direct comparison between the fatal shooting of Renee Good and attacks on ICE agents during enforcement operations.
“So what we’re seeing right now is a split screen moment a week ago, Renee good was tragically killed while defending people like the people today with the shovel, who were shot while attacking ice with a shovel,” Ungar-Sargon said.
She argued that the individuals being defended by Democrats and anti-ICE activists are the same ones involved in violent confrontations with federal agents.
“That’s what we are seeing right now, exactly the kind of people that the Democrats writ large and the ICE watch and all of the people who have such a problem with ICE arresting these absolute degenerates, this is what they are defending,” she said.
Ungar-Sargon took aim at Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, accusing him of using misleading language to blur key distinctions in the immigration debate.
“Tim Walz put out a video recently, I believe it was today, in which he said ICE is going door to door, arresting our neighbors of color,” she said.

She described that framing as intentional political manipulation.
“And that is the slight of hand that the Democrats have been doing over and over and over again,” Ungar-Sargon said.
According to Ungar-Sargon, Democrats are deliberately conflating legal residents and citizens with illegal aliens who have committed serious crimes.
“To act like people who are here illegally, who have committed very serious crimes, who should not be here,” she said.
She argued that even in nonviolent cases, illegal immigration harms American workers.
“In the best case, are driving down wages for working class Americans,” Ungar-Sargon said.
She added that in more extreme cases, criminal aliens pose severe public safety threats.
“In the worst case, are pedophiles and murderers and other sorts of degenerates,” she said.
Ungar-Sargon said Democrats mislabel such individuals as victims to advance a political agenda.
“That these are neighbors of color, as if this is like, you know, your neighbor who is of Hispanic descent, or your black neighbor,” she said.
She said this rhetorical approach erases fundamental legal distinctions.
“They are erasing the difference between citizen and non citizen in order to perpetuate this very dangerous situation,” Ungar-Sargon said.
She concluded by arguing that efforts to obstruct ICE run counter to the will of voters.
“And to get in the way of ICE actually doing what the American people voted for Donald Trump to do,” she said.
