Border Czar Tom Homan delivered a forceful speech Saturday night at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit, responding to a heckler and affirming his commitment to aggressive immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump’s leadership.
Homan was midway through his address when a heckler shouted, “Are you an MS-13 member?” The interruption came approximately five minutes into his remarks and was quickly addressed by security. The crowd responded with chants of “U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!” as the individual was removed from the venue.
Far from derailing the moment, the outburst intensified Homan’s message.

“Tom Homan is going to run the biggest deportation operation this country has ever seen. Take it to the bank,” he declared as the crowd erupted in applause.
Turning to the group of anti-ICE protesters who had gathered outside the Tampa Convention Center earlier in the evening, Homan issued a direct warning.
“You want some? Come get some,” he said.
“I’m tired of it. For the men and women of ICE, I deserve your respect. They’re the finest 1% this country has. And Tom Homan isn’t going anywhere. Tom Homan isn’t shutting up.”

In response to the heckler’s MS-13 comment, Homan drew attention to the reality faced by federal officers on the ground.
“This guy wouldn’t know what it’s like to serve this nation,” Homan said. “This guy ain’t got the b—- to be an ICE officer. He hasn’t got the b—- to be a Border Patrol agent.”
He continued, “This guy lives in his mother’s basement. The only thing that surprised me is [he] doesn’t have purple hair and a nose ring. Get out of here, you loser.”

Outside the summit, demonstrators opposed to President Trump’s renewed immigration initiatives lined the streets, holding signs and voicing their disagreement with recent enforcement actions.
Although Homan initially said he didn’t see protesters upon arrival, demonstrators had been active throughout the afternoon.
Homan told attendees that such protests would not deter the mission.
“We’re going to do the job that President Trump gave us to do,” he said.
He emphasized the growing hostility aimed at immigration officers, stating, “I have never seen such hate against the men and women of ICE and in the Border Patrol.”
Homan said those who protest ICE “don’t have the courage” to take on the role themselves.
The protests in Tampa follow a string of recent demonstrations and clashes nationwide.
In Portland, Oregon, protesters confronted federal agents at the ICE facility.
In Texas, there have been at least two reported ambush-style attacks on immigration officers.
Last month, protests in Los Angeles spiraled into violent confrontations.
The rising tensions have come in the wake of President Trump’s signing of what Homan referred to as the “big, beautiful bill” last Friday.
The legislation includes sweeping measures aimed at securing the southern border and reforming immigration policy.
Homan made no apologies for his blunt tone.
“Sometimes, I’m harsh. But if I offend anybody here tonight, I don’t give a shit,” he said at the beginning of his speech.
Praising President Trump’s performance on border policy, Homan said, “Under his leadership, we got the most secure border in the history of nation, and we did that in seven weeks. President Trump did in seven weeks what Joe Biden couldn’t or wouldn’t do in four years.”
The Student Action Summit drew hundreds of young conservatives from across the country and featured a lineup of speakers promoting President Trump’s policies. Homan’s remarks capped off the evening with strong crowd support and visible energy inside the venue.
The incident with the heckler served as a flashpoint, further galvanizing attendees and reinforcing Homan’s central message — that the mission of ICE will continue, undeterred and unapologetic.
