Trump and MTG Trade Barbs on Social Media

Yesterday, President Trump put out a lengthy statement on Truth Social announcing he was withdrawing all support from Marjorie Taylor Greene. After listing a string of his accomplishments, Trump wrote, “All I see ‘Wacky’ Majorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!” He went on to suggest Greene was angry that Trump told her not to run for Governor (or Senator) in Georgia.

I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of “Congresswoman” Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia. Over the past few weeks, despite my creating Record Achievements for our Country including, a Total and Complete Victory on the Shutdown, Closed Borders, Low Taxes, No Men in Women’s Sports or Transgender for Everyone, ending DEI, stopping Biden’s Record Setting Inflation, Biggest Regulation Cuts in History, stopping EIGHT WARS, rebuilding our Military, being RESPECTED by every Country in the World (as opposed to being the laughingstock that we were just 12 months ago!), having Trillions of Dollars (Record Setting!) INVESTED in the U.S.A., and having created the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World from being a DEAD Country just 12 months ago (and so much more!), all I see “Wacky” Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN! It seemed to all begin when I sent her a Poll stating that she should not run for Senator, or Governor, she was at 12%, and didn’t have a chance (unless, of course, she had my Endorsement — which she wasn’t about to get!). She has told many people that she is upset that I don’t return her phone calls anymore, but with 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day.  I understand that wonderful, Conservative people are thinking about primarying Marjorie in her District of Georgia, that they too are fed up with her and her antics and, if the right person runs, they will have my Complete and Unyielding Support. She has gone Far Left, even doing The View, with their Low IQ Republican hating Anchors. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

He then retweeted some other people’s criticisms of her.

 

Greene responded by posting a tweet saying Trump was angry about the Epstein files. She even included a message she’d sent him about that, but she denied having called him recently.

President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge.

This blowup didn’t come out of nowhere last night. Earlier in the week, Trump accused Greened of losing her way.

President Donald Trump pushed back Monday against criticism from Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, saying his longtime ally had “lost her way” after she accused him of paying too much attention to foreign affairs and not enough to the rising cost of living at home…

“I don’t know what happened to Marjorie, nice woman, but she’s lost her way, I think,” Trump said from the Oval Office, where he met with Syria’s leader and swore in a new ambassador to India. The president defended his focus on global issues, saying he sees the presidency “as a worldwide situation.”

Greene responded to that with a tweet.

The only way is through Jesus.

That’s my way, and I’ve definitely not lost it, actually I’m working hard to put my faith into action.

My job title is Representative. That’s for Georgia’s 14th district and the American people, no one else.

That seemed to be the end of it until last night. This morning, Greene sent out a message thanking her supporters.

Good morning.

I want to thank everyone who texted and posted and commented support for me, you all are so kind and I appreciate, love, and support you too.

I never thought that fighting to release the Epstein files, defending women who were victims of rape, and fighting to expose the web of rich powerful elites would have caused this, but here we are.

And it truly speaks for itself.

There needs to be a new way forward.

The toxic political industrial complex thrives on ripping us all apart but never delivers anything good for the American people, whom I love.

The PIC tells us to hate each other, fundraises off why we have to hate each other, and pits Americans against each other to the point of violence and nearing civil war.

This is all so wrong.

We can have our own differences and differing opinions but we can still love and respect one another.

We have far more in common than we have apart.

I believe in the American people more than I believe in any leader or political party and the American people deserve so much better than how they have been treated by both sides of the aisle. 

The way forward is America First America Only.

And that may be the most dangerous pursuit of all.

Trump doubled down this morning, first saying Greene betrayed the party.

Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown (Green grass turns Brown when it begins to ROT!), betrayed the entire Republican Party when she turned Left, performed poorly on the pathetic View, and became the RINO that we all know she always was. Just another Fake politician, no different than Rand Paul Jr. (Thomas Massie), who got caught being a full fledged Republican In Name Only (RINO)! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

And then a bit later he called her a traitor.

The whole thing is reminiscent of the blowup between Trump and Elon Musk. That fight also ended with Musk mentioning the Epstein files. Eventually, the two would patch things up at Charlie Kirk’s funeral.

So you never know what can happen. Greene and Trump supported each other for a long time. This breach is bad but maybe at some point they’ll find a way to get over it.
