President Donald Trump on Thursday called on the United States Supreme Court to intervene and stop what he described as “rogue” federal judges from issuing nationwide injunctions that block executive actions related to immigration enforcement.
In a statement posted to Truth Social, the president criticized what he called judicial overreach from left-wing judges and said the administration was facing an “unprecedented” level of interference from lower courts.
He warned that the continued use of such injunctions could threaten national security and undermine presidential authority.
Elon Musk Called This Financial News ‘Terrifying’
“Unlawful Nationwide Injunctions by Radical Left Judges could very well lead to the destruction of our Country! These people are Lunatics, who do not care, even a little bit, about the repercussions from their very dangerous and incorrect Decisions and Rulings. Lawyers endlessly search the United States for these Judges, and file lawsuits as quickly as they find them,” President Trump wrote.
The latest legal challenge prompting the president’s statement stems from a ruling by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, who placed a 14-day injunction on the administration’s use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

The ruling temporarily blocks the president from using the law to carry out deportations of certain violent illegal aliens.
White House officials expressed concern about the ruling. Senior advisor Stephen Miller stated that the U.S. Supreme Court had previously ruled that the president’s powers under the Alien Enemies Act are “non-justiciable,” meaning that they are not subject to review or limitation by lower federal courts.
Despite that precedent, Judge Boasberg, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama, asserted that President Trump does not have the authority to invoke the act.
According to court filings, Boasberg has even claimed the power to order deportation flights to be stopped mid-air, including those carrying members of transnational criminal organizations such as MS-13 and Tren de Aragua.
The president highlighted this case and others in his call for action from the high court.
“It is then the obligation of law-abiding Agencies of Government to have these ‘Orders’ overturned. The danger is unparalleled! These Judges want to assume the Powers of the Presidency, without having to attain 80 Million Votes. They want all of the advantages with none of the risks,” Trump continued in his post.
President Trump also emphasized the importance of presidential authority in matters related to public safety and immigration enforcement.
“Again, a President has to be allowed to act quickly and decisively about such matters as returning murderers, drug lords, rapists, and other such type criminals back to their Homeland, or to other locations that will allow our Country to be SAFE. It is our goal to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and such a high aspiration can never be done if Radical and Highly Partisan Judges are allowed to stand in the way of JUSTICE. STOP NATIONWIDE INJUNCTIONS NOW, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.”
In a direct appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, Trump singled out Chief Justice John Roberts, urging him and the justices to take immediate corrective action.
“If Justice Roberts and the United States Supreme Court do not fix this toxic and unprecedented situation IMMEDIATELY, our Country is in very serious trouble!” he wrote.
The White House has not confirmed whether it has filed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court, but officials signaled that legal options are being reviewed.
The administration is also reportedly preparing to challenge additional injunctions issued by other federal judges.
The Supreme Court has not yet issued a response.
