Trump Goes Off on Incompetent CO Governor Polis Over Tina Peters Treatment [WATCH]

President Donald Trump sharply criticized Colorado Governor Jared Polis in a recent statement, accusing the Democratic governor of incompetence and condemning his handling of the imprisonment of former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, whom Trump described as a political prisoner punished for exposing election misconduct.

Trump focused his remarks on Colorado’s leadership and the case involving Peters, who was sentenced to nine years in prison.

Trump asserted that Peters was targeted not for wrongdoing, but for uncovering alleged irregularities tied to the 2020 election.

“Colorado, the poorly run state of Colorado, with a governor who’s incompetent, and frankly, with a governor that won’t allow our wonderful Tina to come out of a jail, in a high intensity jail, because she caught people cheating on an election, and they said she was cheating,” Trump said.

Trump rejected the accusations against Peters and insisted she was wrongfully convicted.

“She wasn’t cheating,” Trump said.

“She went over she looked at one of the election scams going on, and because she did that, they put her in jail for nine years.”

Trump continued by directly attacking Polis’ leadership, portraying the governor as weak and incapable of maintaining control over the state.

“The governor of Colorado is a weak and pathetic man who was run by Tren de Aragua, the criminals from Venezuela took over sections of Colorado, and he was afraid to do anything,” Trump said.

He contrasted that characterization with what he described as the governor’s willingness to pursue Peters aggressively.

“But he puts Tina in jail for nine years because she caught people cheating,” Trump added.

Trump reiterated his claim that Peters was punished specifically for uncovering election misconduct rather than committing it herself.

“And when she walked over and got involved in it, they said she was she wasn’t cheating,” Trump said.

“She caught people cheating on the election 2020 along with a lot of other people that cheated on that election.”

The president also suggested that additional information supporting claims of widespread election fraud would continue to surface.

“You’ll see that coming out more and more,” Trump said.
