President Donald Trump’s inauguration shattered viewership records, solidifying his unmatched popularity and sending shockwaves through the political establishment.
As reported by The Gateway Pundit, an estimated 80.7 million viewers tuned in to witness the historic ceremony, nearly doubling the previous record of 41.8 million set by President Ronald Reagan in 1981. In true Trump fashion, the event was both monumental and unapologetically bold.
Originally scheduled for the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, the ceremony was relocated indoors to the Capitol Rotunda due to the frigid weather.

While attendance in the Rotunda was limited, the overflow crowd packed the 20,000-seat Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Nationwide, watch parties buzzed with excitement as supporters gathered to witness what many called a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Trump delivered a fiery inaugural address, described by some as his greatest speech yet. Standing defiantly in the heart of the D.C. Swamp, he didn’t mince words.
Trump called out both the Democrats and RINO Republicans for years of betrayal against the American people, vowing to restore the nation’s greatness and usher in what he called the “Golden Age of America.”
Viewership numbers reveal that Trump’s appeal transcends traditional media. While Nielsen data showed cable TV viewership peaked at 34.4 million, newer platforms told a more striking story.

According to Streams Charts, YouTube’s News & Politics section set all-time records, with over 9.6 million peak viewers across 2,727 channels streaming the event. The News category on Twitch also hit unprecedented highs.
President Trump’s personal X account stream alone garnered a jaw-dropping almost 37 million views, showing the shift of Millennials and Gen Z audiences toward alternative platforms like Rumble and Getter.
These numbers, combined with cable and other streaming data, bring the estimated total to 80.7 million viewers—a staggering figure that dwarfs the left’s attempts to downplay his reach.
Predictably, the liberal media has tried to twist the narrative, clinging to Nielsen’s outdated metrics to claim that President Biden’s 2021 inauguration had higher viewership.
These are the same voices who insist Biden is the most popular president in U.S. history, despite his record-shattering approval plunge and questionable 81 million votes.
The reality, however, is undeniable: Americans—fed up with empty promises and insider corruption—are rallying behind Trump’s unapologetic America First vision.
President Trump announced the record-breaking numbers on Truth Social, writing:
“An estimated 80.7 million viewers watched the President’s Inauguration,” a figure that could climb even higher when factoring in additional platforms.
This is a new era where mainstream media no longer controls the narrative, and Trump is leading the charge with unparalleled influence. The massive audience proves one thing: America is ready to reclaim its greatness.
