President Donald Trump signed an executive order this week directing a federal review of policies that may have infringed on Americans’ constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
The move marks Trump’s first major action in office to protect the Second Amendment and follows through on his campaign promise to defend gun rights.
Donald Trump just signed an executive order protecting Second Amendment rights, and the anti-gun lobby is losing its mind over it.

Dennis Quaid’s #1 Warning for Americans
The executive order instructs Attorney General Pam Bondi to conduct a comprehensive review of federal laws, regulations, and policies that could be restricting the right to firearm ownership.
Within 30 days, Bondi must submit a report outlining any “ongoing infringements” on gun rights and present a plan of action to the president through the Domestic Policy Advisor.
Once reviewed, the administration will finalize and implement measures to protect Americans’ Second Amendment freedoms.
The executive order explicitly calls for an examination of presidential actions under former President Joe Biden, as well as directives issued by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
Trump’s directive does not just seek to undo Biden-era policies—it also paves the way for broader changes to federal gun laws.
The White House order suggests that the administration may move to roll back federal firearm regulations that were enacted under the previous administration.
During Biden’s presidency, the ATF implemented several regulations aimed at restricting certain firearm accessories, including pistol braces and bump stocks.
However, the Supreme Court recently struck down the ATF’s bump stock ban, delivering a major defeat to the Biden administration’s gun control efforts.
Trump’s executive order signals that his administration will take further action to prevent federal agencies from imposing regulations that could be seen as restricting law-abiding gun owners.
Gun rights advocates have welcomed Trump’s order, with the National Rifle Association (NRA) praising the president’s swift action to safeguard the Second Amendment.
“Law-abiding gun owners no longer have to worry about being the target of an anti-gun radical administration,” said the Executive Director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA).
The order marks a sharp departure from the previous administration’s policies and is expected to set the stage for further actions protecting gun rights.
As Bondi and the DOJ conduct their review, additional policy changes may follow to ensure that federal agencies do not overstep their authority when it comes to firearm regulations.
